The next time you run and jump over a ledge in Empyrion, it will still hurt on impact ... but your sprinting and falling will look so much better! #indiegame #indiedevs Taelyn Community Manager Eleon Game Studios
like it ! , im hoping that in some point we will be able to see our hands or even the animation while pulling a lever or interacting with some stuff , like pushing bottons and more . love the game so far .
It's for an upcoming update. Any time there isn't a new version number and/or new build number associated with the "news and announcement", which this one doesn't have, you can always assume it is a teaser for an unreleased future update. Perhaps they should be in their own category or have a "Teaser" prefix in the title though...... Since this obviously can confuse people, as evidenced by your question.
It does look much better, but I'm kinda hoping the the bike going upside down gets fixed soon* as even with the new animations I'm sure it'll still hurt... and getting up is ssooooo sloooooowwwwww, I crashed into a leaf cutter and fell the rough the ground (as usual) and ended up underneath the bike, and had a handful of points left as I ran into the woods * I don't mean remove bike from game... I love that bike. (can I paint it?)
The hands and arms motions... couldn't this be used also for some kind of frenzy / berserk melee attack ?
After looking at this again... and appreciating that it's good, I asked myself when would I see this? other than specifically going round in 3rd person (which I vehemently hate) and jumping off things I can't see it's gonna be a thing in game, Ok if I were to play 'lan' with a mate or perhaps multi-player on-line I suppose we could take it in turns to jump off things but we would soon get bored, It reminds me a little of the feature in UT3 where we would run and jump at a wall and ragdoll to the ground laying like playing dead, that was fun for the first ten minutes. I'd appreciate wheels more though.
This looks like its mainly for multiplayer. As you say, I can't see the majority of single players playing 3rd person.
I know, but the Talon have carts, and not all cultures have the self same idea and technology, we have space rockets yet in the third world peasants pull carts with Oxon and often by hand. I appreciate where you're coming from, as in you're not going to let the buyer dictate what you sell them, but I don't understand the logic of refusing point blank to acknowledge that there is a desire or demand for wheels, when there is a clear benefit to the modding community which must translate to a good business decision.
If the jetpack is powered on, A hand on the jetpack would be a cool addition. When I take a flying leap off the edge of a cliff, there's where I'd put my dominant hand. The other moves similarly to that of a rodeo cowboy for balance.
