Build: 1.9.2 4016 Mode: Creative / Survival Mode: Single Player / Multiplayer Reproducibility: Always Severity: Minor Type: Texture and color tool Summary: Opening the texture and color tool's dialog will change from the textures page to the symbols page automatically if the "no texture" tile is selected and any color tile is selected Description: There has been an annoyance with the texture and color tool where when you de-select a texture but select a color (to just recolor a block), the next time you open up the color tool it will be on the symbols page instead of the texture page. There is a secondary effect where when you switch back to the texture page it resets the state of the "replace mode" checkbox. I don't know if that is a secondary bug, or just an undesired side-effect of the incorrect mode change. Steps to Reproduce: Start a creative scenario and equip a texture and color tool Open the dialog, and configure it as follows: "Textures" tab Texture: Any texture Color: No color Close the dialog and re-open it. The dialog will open to the texture page. Now configure the tool as: "Textures" tab Texture: Any texture Color: Any color Close the dialog and re-open it. The dialog will open to the texture page. Now configure the tool as: "Textures" tab Texture: No texture Color: Any color Close the dialog and re-open it. The dialog will now open with the "Symbols" page selected. Restore the dialog to the following state: "Textures" tab Texture: No texture Color: Any color Replace Mode: Checked Apply To Whole Block: Checked Close the dialog and re-open it. As in step 7, the dialog will be on the symbols page. Select the "Textures" page. Note that this will now uncheck the "Replace Mode" box, though the "Apply To Whole Block" box is unaffected. In addition to Garamans description: If you grab a color from a device (eg shield) and open the dialog it will show the symbol tab as well since devices have the 'no-texture' setting too. Results to a lot tab-changing moves when you want to paint many devices in different colors.
