After the v1.11.2 update I am now getting that problem that the survival tool in resource gathering mode just destroys resources with a single shot without giving anything. This issue has been there previously also but before now the "save - exit game - restart -load" workaround reset it, and after that the tool worked ok. However, now that exit-restart seems to no longer help. The problem persists. Is there any workaround for this? You can't really play the game without gathering any resources... Edit: Ah, the issue seems to affect the crash site vicinity, only. That makes playing possible and turns this to just an annoyance.
Yes, it has happened to me. Only within the starting area. You do not acquire resources, only everything that is shot disappears. What I usually do is select another mode for the tool. Shoot at anything, the warning will appear that the tool is not useful and that you must select the correct mode. After that it works normally.
