Fixed Blank screen

Hi.

I went through known bugs, through several years old suggestions on a steam forums as well. It looks like common issue. Ussually, thread died without final solution. I did not find the solution here (also using search box and unity, blank screen, epic, etc...). I am new to Empyrion and it is fair to say, that I would never bought this kind of game without Epic Free week - thus I understand if you refuse to help me. Template follows after brief description.

- After running the game via icon or epic, short loading screen, then black with music. Impossible to click.
- Was also testing older nvidia driver just to be sure (default is always run on newest).
- In the processes, I have noticed UnityCrashHandler64 under empyrion game.
- Running from the root folder as admin (or variations with compatibility modes) loads at least the menu, however game (single player, multiplayer is missing) crashes. Escape shows "you died". Using this approach, I was at least able to lower the visual settings - no effect.
- Registry tricks (changing the fullscreen, etc...) did not help. Only difference is that I see loading stucked whole time
- Epic library - manage - verify => no change
- Reinstall - no change
- Uninstall of AV (with restart of course) - > no change
- Adding another 8GB RAM - no change
- Increasing pagefile - no change
- Suprisingly, moving SSD to a new machine did not help - it means it did not run on an intel i5 with DDR3 as well as AMD Ryzen with DDR4 (16GB)
- ONLY two things I did not change from obvious reasons are: I did not reinstall complete computer. Do not see a reason for such a dramatic step because one game. And I did not change the graphics card GTX960, because I do not have other and it is my son's computer. There is a youtube prove it runs on GTX960 and a game looks like first Portal, it hopefully should not be a problem.
- .NET reinstalled, although to a newer version (4.6.x no longer supported by MS).

Suprisingly, I have other and much slower computer (i3-4160 with 8GB DDR3) and it is running the game more than fine.

I was afraid you say that

Tutorial on this forum suggest how to get to the logs via Steam, but I am on the EPIC. I have found these two files in users -> appdata -> locallow. Please keep in mind, that was reinstalling game also to another drive, this is why you probably see a mess (C:\, sometimes D:\, maybe different PC configurations)

Suprisingly, on a functional installations, I can see folder "logs" in the root folder of a game. Not here. It is probably created with first successfully started game.

 

It worked after bit of a struggle. Game is playable, multiplayer coop drops out a lot, however it is a different topic.
