Thank you for the tips but I need something that clears all of the boulders and foliage around a BA in one shot. I have a monstrosity of a BA that is literally at the games size limit and positioning it without the setposition command is improbable. I was hoping to spawn it straight up in the air, use setposition to move it, then another command to clear the foliage around it. Due to the size of the BA it will take a very long time to clear the foliage around/beneath it manually.
This one is quite big and has a lot of underground space too... but stopped building it because of the critter problem, Now making another one from a fresh game start (I've made the baseplate as a blueprint 3 blocks thick solid 150m long) so gather materials and drop the plate in then start the build again. For clearimg it's flamethrower...clears grass etc, (I've found that the survival tool 'gun mode' in AdA version of RE sometimes works for stubborn plants) then laser drill rocks, being carefull no to ruin ground that will be visible. When you's is done post it up I'd like to see it!
It's pretty much already done, I wanted to make a larger landing pad where I can park my builds while I am working on them. It's nothing special, but it maxes the build size at 239 x 4 x 239 and it's CPU points are over double the Tier 4 max because it uses over 171k concrete blocks. So this is something I am only going to be using in Creative.
I'm wondering... as I often do, would it be possible to link two of those together, I think I remember there's tutorial about it, though my mind is old and sometimes I get a bit 'Farnsworth' That reminds me, I left a UFO beside a settlers poi some time ago...205x205 I'll have to finish that one day
As long as the combined builds do not go over the 239 x 239 x 239 block limit they can be merged with the mergestructs command. Alternately, you can use the copy and paste tool to paste one build onto another. That's how I made the tugboats you can sometimes find wandering around in the game. I pasted a tugboat "blank" onto one of the wrecks that were in the game.
I had in interesting experience in Empyrion today, but not by playing the game. I had an email notification that I had received 9 Community awards for items I had published in the Steam Workshop. Honestly, this a first for me. Thank you to whoever did that.
