Please consider revisiting and fixing the Turret code, especially consider the following -there is a lag bevore turrets pick a target, this should be fixed. -there should be a toggle per target category if "line of sight" or "drilling" fire should be used. -add shield generator to target categorys, destroying the shield would allow to infiltrate the enemy base without internal sentrys being protected. -maybe allow custom turrets by modders, if possible.
I disagree about turrets being able to shoot immediately; there would be no chance at all to destroy them if they shoot immediately. I don't wanna be instant Swiss cheese.
There have been changes done in v1.13 for this Made adjustments to AI turret targeting: AI turrets will now check for a new target immediately when their old target has been killed. This change relates primarily to targets like NPCs or Drones.
