(and for the others here where the WIPE does not work) I think i have found at least a TEMPORARY solutions to that issue that at least allows to play the mission. IMPORTANT: Please make a COPY of your savegame BEFORE going through that workaround as there is always a RISK for problems or failures - i can take no liabilities for. This basically works as follows: A. Preparation: 1. In your "broken" savegame: you have the mission active pointing you to the Control Station 2. You need to have/ place yourself / your ship inside the planet (As if you would approach the Control Station) 3. Leave the game B. Workaround 1. Start a new game 2. Activate godmode (console > 'gm iv' ) 3. Teleport to Nemoris I orbit ( console > sector 'Nemoris I' > fly to the planet and go into the atmosphere) 4. Check if the Control Station is there (console > 'ents -all' ) 5. If so, exit the game (if not > repeat B1-4) 6. Open the folder of your NEW savegame and find the Nemoris I folder, eg: ....\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Saves\Games\<yourNEWsavegame nameWhereTheControlStationExists>\Playfields\Nemoris I 7. Copy all files and sub-folders 8. Find the same folder in the BROKEN savegame (where you positioned your vessel in the "A. Preparation" part) and overwrite ALL files in the Nemoris I folder, eg. ....\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Saves\Games\<yourBROKENsavegame nameWhereTheControlStationNOTExists>\Playfields\Nemoris I 9. Start your "broken" savegame. The PDA should update and you should be able to play the mission on the Planet. There is ONE limitation of that approach: As soon as you LEAVE the planet, it will regenerate and the station will be gone (as the problem of this station not being placed is somewhere in the game files where you cannot "update" it i am afraid).
YESSSS! Thank you so much. Actually, this is more or less what I had in mind when I asked: I only didn't know exactly how! That worked like a charm - thanks again. I'll continue from there and will check if my next issue ("inactive portal in part III") will now miraculously disappear. You never know . I'll keep you informed.
Oh wait! I just noticed that you don't even have to leave the planet. Saving the game (while next to the control station) and then loading it again makes the POI disappear as well. I didn't expect that... No problem though - can do the "copy" part again after loading.
Yeah... that is really a makeshift solution Hope it works at least to get around that issue (actually i thought this would not work because of how the game handles that.. as you have already noticed. But tested it based on your idea and at least it turns out it works temporary ) If the Part III does not activate, let me know. Maybe directly > [email protected]
