Hey guys, I'll post here so they both get some good exposure: I recently released my EAS-Hyperion and EAS-Nova builds via Steam Workshop. They're not built to any specific scale, just a size I think works in SP/MP. Both ships are from the Babylon 5 TV show. The Hyperion is meant to be a fast attack/escort CV in MP/PvP but also functions as a Survival CV in SP. It works in conjunction with the EAS-Nova which is intended to be a 'faction PvP capital ship'. The Hyperion is only lightly armed and armoured compared to the Nova but the Hyperion, due to its 'skinny' frontal/dorsal/ventral design, is harder to shoot. The Nova's hangar has been designed in a way that takes advantage of vertical space to maximise the amount of SVs it can accomodate (i.e. you are encouraged to dock your SVs to the walls - depending on size there are up to 13 marked positions (1 large, 12 small/medium). Some of the larger/higher/wider SVs might have trouble entering the hangar bay however there is a bit of room to widen the hangar entry to suit larger SVs. Head on over to the workshop and click 'Subscribe' and take these old warbirds for a spin! Tell me what you think... My next project (after fixing up my W40K Imperial Dauntless-class Light Cruiser) will either be one of three things: an original design, another W40K build or the Omega-class Destroyer from Babylon 5 . I just haven't decided which one I want to make first...
I made two low cost CVs and put them on the workshop. Check them out if you fancy a fairly cheap ride The Phobos http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=668266772 The Grabthar's Hammer http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=668900870
Hey got a link to your workshop please? Keen to see the 40K stuff, I was going to make a Necron flier but haven't had the patience to sit down and figure it out.
Hey! Thanks. I have a Dauntless Light Cruiser that's not quite ready for general release (working on it), but the new build will most likely be Eldar-influenced. Although a Necron Scythe or Tombship would also be terrifying... Hmmm... You may have given me some ideas. Anyway, here's a link to my Workshop page: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198032284466/myworkshopfiles/?appid=383120 I don't have as many awesome builds as Arturius (your builds are awesome, Arturius) but I'll get there. I suck at SVs so I'm going to focus on CVs from B5, Stargate, Star Wars and maybe some Star Trek ships, but me and circles aren't the best of friends... =P I'll see how I go.
UPDATED: CV Cheyenne v8 I guess instead of making a new post for every incarnation of the ship, I'll just edit this one
I'm hoping you might make the Orca from eve online as an industrial ship, I'm gonna try...but I don't think I can even hope...my latest CV,
Updated the Talos Class Cruiser to EGS Alpha. Reworked the whole ship for better FPS. Workshop Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=628095596 Update notes: * overall FPS optimization * massive reduced lights * Added Warp Drive Tank * replaced over 170 T1 RCS's with 14 T2 RCS's * fixed coloring * Added Clone Chambers * Added signs for better interior navigation H = Hangar B = Bridge F = Food production E = Engineering (alternate bridge) O2 = o2 tanks T = Fuel tanks W = Warp Drive Arrows on the floor = showing front of the ship Arrows up / dn = showing lift direction
Well, the good news is: I had to rework the 'macro-battery' housings to the fit the revised Artillery Turret (5W, old model was 3W) and repaint it (after the Alpha update, the yellow had turned black - at least for me) and obviously add the warp drive tank but the Dauntless Light Cruiser is back up and running... The downside is, when the ship is idle with full tanks, it only has 14 hours worth of fuel - maximum capacity is currently a little under 90,000 units @ 4% of 120MW. If I turn the engines and lights off, I can squeeze another hour out of it. I could add more tanks, I definitely have the room, but you'll almost drain an entire planet dry of Promethium just to run the ship for a day, and spend most of that day filling the tanks... Forget trying to move, it'll drain the tanks after 20-odd minutes. It does use large engines for everything at the moment so I'm going to tweak it to see if I can get better endurance. I may have to look at changing the engine layout entirely... Does have a mean broadside though... A little progress has been made on the latest build (the Dauntless was just a fixer-upper, not a new build). Not enough to show off, but I have a working cross section with the exception of a few rather important details.

Soooo.... i had a chuk at building me a CV... Not much to look at from the outside.... but, it's ok, because the REAL beauty, lies within those walls of steel.... I'm not gonna post pictures of it, as i have actually allready done that, in the image share thread.... But, it is something VERY different, to walk the decks, in person... I designed it, so i could have some fun with a capital ship, in survival mode... So, i guess its not one ot the BIGGEST things out there.... but, is ok, it works http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=673215882
