Sure you're welcome to come on the server. Look up "Red vs Blue" in the server browser and spawn on whatever side you want to. I would personally prefer that that side was blue though
I know the factions are Red and Blue, but what are the Gray Market about? And I think I read about another emergent faction? Also, what is the state of the galaxy? Are we actively at war or is there still a buildup? SUPER curious and excited. Also: teamspeaks?
Grey Market was originally conceived as a neutral pool of mercenaries who could be hired to auto-balance Red and Blue, the primary combatants. However after recent events, while individual GMTs may be willing to hire out their services to Red and Blue, Grey Market is now considered a full third faction with its own interests and sovereignty. Grey Market is also the biggest faction as it's the default spawning location and Red and Blue were encouraging players to join Grey before it became independent. As to the conflict we just have large faction battles on weekends, usually Sunday afternoons. There isn't any major fighting outside of these events although a significant area of the server is PvP and theoretically skirmishes might happen outside the events. Mostly though during the week we build stuff. There are two other known factions on the server: there is TFB, a small neutral faction, and there is also Compania, a reclusive/inactive faction that I personally know little about. However at this point they aren't major players like Red, Blue, and Grey. Teamspeak info is here -
Ok. So if I join up do I get auto sorted for the sake of balance or anything? If so, thats fine. I may bring another friend along as well. His name is Ginjerbeard and he's active on these forums.
Nah, not autosorted, feel free to join whatever faction you want as long as it's Blue... or Red or Grey, but preferably Blue. We've learned it's better not to autosort people and to just let them fight with whoever they choose to.
Sounds like fun. I like the idea of being a mercenary/neutral faction but at the same time want to play with people who are active. I'm sorry to eat up the thread with questions but the whole thing seems super fun.
blues are trying very hard to recruit after defeated by GMT (judges said the battle was a draw) in a confused battle which was 5 v 3 in their favor... I would suggest you to join GMT, we are the largest faction with immense rich...but you can join any faction you want
SUGGESTION: about solar system config and event Solar System: planet 1 : spawn for every player, tire 1 resources, tire 1 POI resources to build upto only SV , reset every 15days PvE planet and orbit No warp crystal planet 2: home planet for red tire 1 resources with CV building capacity (i.e sathium will spawn) tire 1 POI no reset, admins will delete building as needed PvE planet, PvP orbit only underwater warp crystal planet 3: home planet for blue tire 1 resources with CV building capacity (i.e sathium will spawn) tire 1 POI no reset, admins will delete building as needed PvE planet, PvP orbit only underwater warp crystal planet 4: home planet for grey tire 1 resources with CV building capacity (i.e sathium will spawn) tire 1 POI no reset, admins will delete building as needed PvE planet, PvP orbit only underwater warp crystal planet 5 -event planet 1: planet for event victor tire 1 and 2 resources with max size 3 (so they can be mined quick and meteor start to drop fast) tire 2-3 POI reset every 7 days PvE planet, PvP orbit rich warp crystal more planet /asteroid field if possible /needed depending on server limitation. PvP/PvE orbit and planet/asteroid field reset in 15 days tire 1 and 2 resources (stranded size) POI tire 1-4 HOW server works and event conduct: all new player will spawn at planet 1, depending what the choose to join (red, blue or GMT) they will transported to the respective home planet by faction leaders. independent players/factions can get CV resource via trade , join even as merc, or make treaty to settle on any faction homeplanet Event: weekend planetary ownership event all out CV/SV battle at the event planet 1 orbit to determine ownership..winner get ownership of the planet till next reset in 7 days -can be 3way battle or if 2 faction make treaty to ally against the other one) week-long trade route piracy: as event planets going to reset in 7 days all collected resource will need to be transported to the owners homeplanet...any faction or individual can atk those cargo carrier and loot the cargo. i.e faction planet orbits and event planet orbits are free for all to loot others

Well I can't speak for the other factions, but Red can offer you: - An awesome starting planet with meteors of every variety - A free SV and weaponry to get you on your feet - Some of the best looking ships in the galaxy Edit to add: Ah, oops! There should be promethium meteors falling on Danube if you don't see any deposits (in fact I was there a few days ago and saw a bunch of different types of meteors... I can almost guarantee there are promethium meteors. You just gotta fly around and look for em)... if not I can come investigate when I get off work in a few hours, and give ya some fuel and drill packs and such to get ya going again if you're completely out.

I've been following your questions. and to the one at hand: I would like you to join Red (RGC) - we are so far a somewhat peaceful faction, but don't get me wrong, we will fight if we are pushed. and we have an armada of battle cv's and fighters scattered around so they aren't an easy target. - also we pride ourself in being helpful and supportive towards our recruits and alleys. if you join Red, you'll be provided with your own SV, I'll even give your a lineup to chose from. also you will receive a weapon of your own choice and enough resources to get you starting as soon as I can get to you (i'm sadly on another timezone than most ppl on the server).
