I like it. We could even have a few innocent and maybe some not so innocent ships for your guys to check for contraband or black market goods. Nothing. But you will have full access to GMT facilities, we do have the most impressive shipbuilding, factories, and community share project on the server. We don't have a vast armada, just a couple escort corvettes and Corporate Stryke Fighters (Merc or Escort Jobs), we can build a merchant milita pretty quick. And, its really hard to prove that it was a GMT merchant in the pirate ship, see the above scenario.
Does nobody realize that GMT cheated by all jumping in SVs when it was quite clear it was a ground fight? You guys were only allowed to have turrets. Player integrity is another reason why events like that won't happen until a mod is made to regulate things. And even in spite of this, we accomplished our objective anyway, you guys didn't keep your objective canister secure.
Though Navonil is correct in asserting that Blue is heavily recruiting. Not because we were defeated as GMT would rather you believe, because we really weren't, but we're no longer funneling players to GMT and are now going to rely on ourselves for combat rather than GMT mercenaries. Believe me, if you go GMT chances are you'll find you won't want to merc yourself out any more. You wouldn't want to do it if you joined either Red or Blue, either. In terms of rewards for new recruits and transfer recruits Blue Team is offering a heavy subsidy to new recruits in terms of rare materials and building blocks, the exact contents of which depend on what you want. Furthermore we will supply additional subsidies to support your construction projects.
Hmmm wow I'm not gonna quote everything. There was 3 of us going from pvp planet to pvp planet. Hitting up poi's the only resources we mined were probably the small amounts I grabbed to keep our ammo up (there was no strip mining) (also if a planet didn't have certain resources set, unless someone changes the meteorite setup per planet it will fill in all the basic resources up to and including neo and sathium). I wasn't part of jotunheim squad (they did that without me). We did not know for sure our boundaries and some things happened when I wasn't on. Even being new I wasn't heading to anyones home planet till I knew more. We lost a lot of the epic weapons we got due to bugs but I still have 2. If they need to be turned over to the blue faction that is fine by me. One of the last things I heard about jotunheim before I went back to liberland to setup my PartyRockAlliance. Was that Tech 2 Engineer was going to setup one or more outposts on jotunheim. I do not know if he was the one that attacked your vessel however.
The epic weapons are more trouble than they're worth in this case, so don't worry about it. However, I wouldn't advise traveling to Jotunhiem; after the incident with the Super Schwalbe and another incident with an under-construction outpost, we are being a bit more assertive when it comes to installations there.
Roger thank you good sir. I was originally thinking of joining the blue team. I may still do it. If most events are on sundays I may miss most of those as most of my coworkers ask for that day off as is. I may be able to help with logistics though.
If you want to join blue you're more than welcome to; even if you can't be a combatant on Sundays, as I frequently cannot be myself, you can still help the team out by building. For example, Dasvide can always use another pair of hands, he's our base architect you might say. Or you can build stuff yourself.
Those planets have been reset since, or else you would not have found any POI. That entire discussion was before a bug fix that was causing no meteors to fall, and we couldn't find iron anywhere. There should be no GMT operations in any of their starter areas.
Hi everyone! I wanted to pop in and apologize for the server interruption. The local datacenter was exposed to a pretty severe line of thunderstorms and backup power options failed. Power availability was intermittent beginning at approximately 2:30 AM CST, so I brought the server down hard to avoid physical damage. The storms have passed through and everything is back up and running now. Thanks for your patience! -Methodik

no need to apologize , it's better to have temporary interruption rather than permanent damage to the service..especially during a natural event which you cannot control
Anyone one know how to fix faction ranks? GMT has no owner and only one admin, me. I don't know what 82nd did, but I cannot make officers or do much other then accept an application. I don't want to have to disband GMT, I hope there is another option. Maybe we should think about another time? That likely may be one of the issues as well. We already do this, last weeks was ruined when someone destroyed it before the event. I do have a POI ready I just need to schedule it. Let me know what is a good time for you and any others?
I know there is a 'faction' command in the console, but personally I've never gotten it to work. Maybe it can be used to that end though?
In a way, I had a sort of "hard POI raid" yesterday, except the POIs were Ore Vein Nodes... though 2 of them were 5 digit number of Ores Ore Veins at 60something% remaining amount, which was still formidable. They made up for being pre-hit by the fact that they were hit moronically which was even more difficult then if I had got to hit them while they were at full supply. (Seriously, who are these people that sloppily drill through the middle of the Vein & leave plenty of perfectly good Ores all over the Walls of the Hole & can't be bothered to grab those Ores too BEFORE having positions to stand to attack them will get hard. Who are these people & why do they hate succeeding at Mining Intelligently so much? ) I was worried when I got kicked & couldn't get back on. I'm just glad nothing bad happened to the Server. Many thanks for your diligence & care. I wish there was any such thing as a 'good time' for me. I remember Slam recommending I get a Promotion so I could help with stuff like Accepting Recruits... then it never happened. I always thought it was just cause I was deemed too incompetent & unfit for the Post. Now I wonder if it's cause of that & the GMT Chain of Command Issue here as well. ... Could this be part of the plans of the Aliens that Abducted & Tortured 82nd...? *Glares suspiciously at the Aliens... Urge to test Tyrax Hover War Tank on Alien POIs rising...* Oh, while I have your attention, on Danube, the Faction, "Cam", took over a Alien POI & made it a Base that is sitting nigh right on top of a Neodymium Ore Vein & it's blocking GMT attempts to Mine it. Rule Check, is this kinda Shenanigan acceptable on the Server? Edit: Oh, also, I got an idea & was curious if ya Leaders like it: I wrote down the Web Address of the very beginning of this Thread, Page 1. I got an idea that maybe we could use our Symbol & Texture Guns to 'Tattoo' this Web Address onto our Faction Main Bases & that'd educate people onto the existence of this Thread. How's this idea sound?
