My very first tiny SV from pre-alpha, realized into Alpha... it actually has purpose! Fits into all sorts of small hangars and CVs, and fights well in a pinch. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=673545818
A fantastic vessel indeed! Sidenote: I wonder if the devs have any plans on implementing guided weaponry.
I'd be more interested in slightly gimballed front facing weapons, so that we can actually put them on wingtips and still hit something we aim at
Ginjerbeard and I were talking about that the other night. How the cross-hairs, when flying, don't really mean much for weaponry unless its mounted directly front/middle of your vessel.
Here here. Front & Middle is the only place I ever put any Guns I ever intend to actually bother to aim. The only things ya can really put on ends & in Wings is Rocket Launchers for just general Rocket Spraying & Praying towards CVs & Bases.
The only issue with firing on the point the crosshairs were on when you wanted to fire is that if the projectiles are directed to that point and MAY or may not impact other blocks on the way depending on ship design.
True, but us Ship Builders can simply NOT place Blocks at points near anywhere the Gimballing could aim.
And finally, last but certainly not least, the Terrastar FSB-44 Solar Eagle Heavy Bomber: Steam Workshop link: Click Here!
Wasn't there some sort of limit of how many fire at once? I read somewhere, I forget how many it was now... hmm... time to find that limit again
Last I heard it was 9... but I dunno how accurate it was in the first place & now it's old info, & I dunno if it still applies.
That sounds like the old problem where each weapon took up a quickslot instead of being in one firing group so you could only ever get 9 weapons to fire at any one time... yep just tested it with a basic SV and 10 launchers all in a line so I can see whether they're firing, all shooting correctly!
I've updated the Kolba Heavy Dropship (textures etc. ...) and put her on workshop. Have fun: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=675697561
I am a bad, bad man. I was going to make a CV now the HV line is finished... but I got distracted again The Cambridge Defense Technologies PAV-11 Mayfly Light Fighter-Bomber: Warning: This is designed for use in atmosphere and has no dorsal thrusters! Steam Workshop link: Click Here!
