Liked the ending of that vid huh I'll be posting that HV Blueprint here (to at least stay on topic again hahaha).
Here is that Land Strider Mk.III (got rid of the Mk.II weaponless design) http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=673559182
Also this is my pre-alpha early-survival hover tank, that I revamped for Alpha. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=673543863
Was the dual cockpit to carry a friend or just for aesthetics. Also. Does a dual cockpit design give BOTH people control over the vehicle?
Couple of good questions of which I know nothing about the answer too!!! I do know you can hop into either one and pilot just ok... as for another player, I've got to do some tests on the DS with that. Its totally experimental. Heck most its thrusters are buried inside the body hahaha...
I noticed that. Makes it look very "clean" looking. I think the hidden thrusters give the vehicles in this game a more sci-fi feel.
Yeah, I tend to like a good design with hidden engines as well as with the external engines. Many sci-fi spaceship engines don't produce flames. I'm glad they don't currently have that restriction on building, and I wonder if they'll eventually give us the option to make flameless engines.
So my plan after finishing my first CV was to do a bigger CV. I may have got distracted from that plan... Introducing the Cambridge Defense Technologies PGV-02 Nomad Multi-Purpose Vehicle! (What a mouthful) This thing basically has everything you need on it for setting up on a planet (except the raw resources obviously) and only needs Level 10, and that's only because of the rocket turret... Steam Workshop link: Click Here!
Ok I'm going back to CV design after this one I swear... maybe The C.D.T PGV-05 Pathfinder Scout Vehicle: Size comparison with the Nomad is in the last image. This is designed as my starter HV for scouting out the planet on a new game so is pretty low cost and has a low unlock level of 5. Steam Workship link: Click Here!
Last one before I go back to CV duties I swear! Probably. The C.D.T PGV-07 Courier Armoured Personnel Carrier: Kinda sluggish when compared to the other two from C.D.T but to be expected considering it's heavily armoured and not supposed to be nippy! Steam Workshop link: Click Here!
I lied... The C.D.T Aggressor Main Battle Tank: EDIT 2/5/16 - Updated to Mk II, adding two extra passenger/gunner positions! That should be it, I've accomplished the range I imagined... Steam Workshop link: Click Here!
Reviving one of my old brands from Space Engineers for this one... The Winters Hephaestus-Class Independent Mining & Refinery Vehicle! Yes it really is a HV... Enough constructors to refine every ore currently in the game at the same time and enough power to keep them going while it's on the move too. It's sluggish but not irritatingly-so, a few more RCS in there and it turns rather too well considering its size! Perfect for taking you and four friends around in style to strip mine every planet you come across... Steam Workshop link: Click Here!
