i has a question i am attempting to add new suns for extra solarsystems...now my systems work great but i can not add any suns to it..or the server simply does wanna start up, annyone has anny tips on this??
Question: Everytime I log out of my server and then come back, the trees have all returned, it's as if the server never lost them. Is there a setting off or is it something else? I've cleared a lot of terrain out to place a base, then once placed and I leave the game to reset my computer or something else, I come back, and trees have grown in my base and grass is growing like crazy too. Is there something I can do to rectify this or change? I have server admin rights so, if it's a simple fix, let me know.
Thats actually not the server. Thats your client side failing to render the trees not the server. Is your video card up to speed ? And has it got much V-Ram. Is your hard drive an SSD ? How much and how fast is your system RAM ?
Yeah, it's good to go. Never had a problem in Single player doing this, only in Multiplayer on this particular server. Nvidia 550ti 2GB vid card, all up to date too. No, not SSD and running 8 GB ram on each system. You're saying it is my client side failing to render the trees, but I cut them down each time I log in, so it's not saving to the system at all to say that they have been removed so that they stop rendering in all together. I should also mention, my wife has this same issue. This is what makes me think that this is server side and not client side. Because I can come into the game and knock all the trees down and she comes into the game and they are all there for her, but not on my end. So the server is not sending and receiving information properly. It has to be a setting somewhere, just not sure where and I haven't done anything to the server, short of resetting it and adding the admin code. So not sure what's going on.
I got a problem that is unusual so i'll start from the beginning. So me and my friend started a game and connected via direct connect back in the day, played for a few hours and quit for the night. The next time we tried to play all he would get is connection failed messages. I assumed that this would be resolved with the release of dedicated servers. Last week I set up a private server with all the defaults and set a new password, launched the server and we played successfully for several hours. Now This weekend i launched the server with all the same settings and the same issue has come back. The server cannot be joined and only throws connection errors. Now i have tried to resolve this by changing ports that are forwarded from 30000-30004 to 26900-26904 and still no luck. Also when the server appears in the list, it has the (LAN) tag on it. I can join by using a IP loop but cannot join using my public IP. Near as i can tell the server is not connected to the internet. I have checked all my firewall and antivirus settings but i'm not sure if that could be a cause or not as i use windows defender and it is supposed to notify me of any blocks. If this hadn't worked previously i would imagine i am doing something wrong but this is not the case. The only thing that i am aware that changed is my public IP do to my ISP swapping it during the week. Any ideas would be appreciated.
So it seems like the Orbits for Aitis, Masperon, and Oscutune all use the "SpaceAsteroids" .yaml...... How come when I change that to PVP=True they remain PVE. Thanks in advance
Did you change the files in your SAVES folder? (Changes in the /CONTENT folder won't have any effect)
Hello there i have a question , I have tryed looking on the web and wiki for some help on this but it seems i have had no luck finding it . For Admin Server Commands how would one be able to login to admin ? I have tryed the ( Help) function through console i have even tryed initadmin but i get process can not be completed by steve rogers client . I am trying to figure this out so i can bann people off my server how would one go on about doing that thanks
If not modem, must be game. Usually fail to connects like this are from a version difference or corrupt file. Try verifying game cache and before you do that try deleting everything in the CACHE folder which is in the saves folder. Then try and connect, will probably connect after cache file deleted and game cache verified.
I want to reset all POI's on all playfields weekly to refresh content for newer players. What is the best method of doing so WITHOUT having to use the in-game command line to manually reset each POI faction back to Alien? Thanks for any help if anyone knows!
Keep in mind I am very noob at this, so sorry if i seem clueless. Hummel nothing was touched in the saves folder. All pve orbits besides Akua and Omicron were all changed in the content .yaml but only a few actually clicked over. Eventually we screwed up and a server wipe and changing the files from the get go got everything straight, all pvp orbits except starter planets, which is what we were shooting for. Just as a general rule, when we launch a fresh server should we set up these orbits or planet off the start to avoid headache? And will future versions have a easier interface for setting up there kind of gameplay options? Thank you much
I just rented a server from Nitrado. I figured this was the best idea, since they host the official EGS server. I can't connect to it through the multiplayer server browser. I've read numerous complaints over the past month about Nitrado servers not working with EGS. Does anyone know what's going on? I can't sign up to post at their forums. pretty disappointing.
It may be the same problem we are having. Since the last couple of patches Empyrion refuses to work as an interactive service and can only be connected to if launched by someone with administrative powers Thouroghly tested this by getting an install that works absolutly fine when run as Administrator however when run by the game panel as System or service specific user if shows in the list but will just sit at connecting forever. We have forwarded all our tests to the developers and hopefully the next patch will sort things out
If that's the case then how is the official server and many other servers on Nitrado still up and running? Is it that staff at nitrado has granted admin privs to their servers, and can potentially do the same with mine? To be clear, I get a very quick failure to connect error from the game, no infinite loading.
I have had talks with our other admin about starting game in admin mode, our restarts are done through task manager in non-admin mode, and these fail if it was started as admin and cause problems. there should be no need to start game in admin mode.
Hey guys, I'm currently renting a nitrado EGS server. The serv works fine, it's online and multiple people have been able to join in. Now, my issue is with the administration and the telnet : I can't seem to grant myself the admin rights via the Steam64 adress in the adminconfig.yaml, and I can't connect to the server using telnet (nitrado ip, simple password, using default 30004 port). Does anyone know something about this ? ======================================================================== EDIT: Tried a few things, but it looks like changing the telnet port to 21904 (close to the 21900 of the server itself) did the trick, no idea why though.
hi all, i am having an issue with a dedicated server I am setting up. I have created a custom sector file. but I am getting this error Dedicated server version: Alpha 1.4.4 0405 (Filename: C:/buildslave/unity/build/artifacts/generated/common/runtime/UnityEngineDebugBindings.gen.cpp Line: 64) Exception: Duplicate sector (15, 0, 0) at Assembly-CSharp.ProcessStack+ActivatorStream.MoveNext () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at Assembly-CSharp.ImageQueue.PrintQueue () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at MBS_S.set_DisconnectAssembly (.StubList ) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at GameStartup.Awake () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 (Filename: Line: -1) the thing is there is nothing at that location --- # Sectors # IMPORTANT: YAML files use spaces as indentation.
