Well I think the one ship Tyrax was chewing on was the one with the rocket launchers about 10 blocks back and tight against the main body... which just won't work unless the rockets fire at railgun speeds. And there are lots of designs to be had that allow missile pods without the ship looking like a cube. Its why missile pods were invented for modern jets/helicopters/ships/tanks/cars But if you still wish to design a missile launcher from the rear of a ship going down a tight area, then just instruct the pilot "hold steady when firing". Thats all. Don't dogfight and use missiles at the same time
I don't dogfight with rocket launchers I still think the weapons as we know them won't exist in a future version so I refuse to worry about it until then!
My SV's no Borg Cube but works beautifully. At most, i'm pondering if I might wanna tweak the location of the Spare Parts Boxes a tad &/or add a couple more, then I think she's ready for Full Release. (& a LOT more Screenieing.) I got some Trophy Screenies of past Dragonet Kills: (In no particular order...) Spoiler: They underestimated my Tyrax Dragonet, Iji, too... Look what it got'em... This poor sod used to be Slam Jones's Dogfighting CV...: Iji's first kill, Clan Mate Star Viper's Fighter SV... dead in 8 Salvos: My many thanks to Star Viper for this chance to test Iji while she was at this time still untested & I myself still in much need of SV Combat Piloting practice. ^_^ Also got a kill on a SV of Furian in 1 on 1 combat but I appear to have Mega Derped & forgot to Screenie that one. Nice one me. Frankly as much as I like Rocket Launchers as Rule of Cool, I think the Rocket launchers for SVs are meant to be outgrown eventually. Rail Guns are currently the best weapons for them, & I also think pretty highly of the Pulse Lasers too. (Though I still think like all lasers they should be Channeled Damage instead. Rail Guns ace the Bullet Department for SV Weapons as is & CVs should've got their own version of Rail Guns too imho.) Yep, ya nailed it. Also it's stupid to make the Pilot hold still to fire the Rockets at stuff like POI Turrets even BEFORE Laser Turrets got Implemented. Why not just stick a Rocket Launcher on the Nose of the Craft or just under the Nose of the Craft or such?
Who said anything about holding still? The difference appears to be that you pilot your SVs like attack helicopters (on planets anyway, strafing etc) whereas I pilot them like airplanes so firing run and pass, turn, repeat. I've yet to have a problem being hit repeatedly As for sticking a rocket launcher on the nose... missiles go on the wings dammit!

The turret/general AI is pretty dumb, you only have to jink by a little bit to get it to miss. Whether the shot misses you by miles or inches is irrelevant as long as it misses

I subbed it last night, went into creative and made a weapon load out /location change to suit my personal taste and now it's ready to spawn.
Hi everyvone! I present you three "new" creations of myself. The first one is: The Tornado Tier 3 "Einherier" That's a modification of my older Tornados with the new cockpit 9, new "wings" and stronger weapons. And the second one is: Shuttle "Tukan" A simple SV with fake solar panels. The last one is more a joke, a flying rocket launcher... "Katjuscha" It is completely useless, i have built that Thing only just for fun. But the rocket launcher works well.
Ahahah dude i love the Katjuscha. While it may be useless its gotta be the coolest one ive seen so far. XD
Thanks. My little brother sent me this link some time before: I look in the workshop and the only stuff I find are tanks, more tanks, german tanks, Warhammer tanks...but not a single Katjuscha. So I thought we need a new option.

I really need to try and make designs a bit more homogeneous so I don't have to keep inventing new tech companies... Here's the Astratech 'Gladius' Light Fighter: This one is a fairly simple shape (slightly reminiscent of the Scimitar from Wing Commander 1 actually) but was more a study in using textures a bit more. I'm not massively keen on the colour scheme but I've used my favourite possible combinations so much I didn't want to use them again... Steam Workshop link: Click Here!
It's not as nice as your lightspeed range but still much better than anything I built. I prefer the weapon locations though. Having 4 around the cockpit lines up better with the crosshairs
That's a compliment actually, since Lightspeed is supposed to be the "sleek, sexy" manufacturer whereas Astratech is more functional but cheaper and decent performance There's actually six gatling cannons, another one on the underside mirroring the top two!
Decided to have a bit of fun and make something mostly useless but a complete giggle to fly: The Red Arrow. She's designed as a racer, not a combat ship, so the fact she's mostly thrusters is fine And yes, this was inspired by a comment Mr Badger made about one of Tyrax's ships!
