Running on a dedicated server that hosts 255 players, I'd like to introduce you to Empyrion.life! Currently, we are the number 2 dedicated server on empyrion-servers.com, and boast an average of 20-35+ players online during peak US hours! (10 or so during off-peak/euro times, which we're working on increasing as well). We are currently looking to expand our playerbase to push into that number one slot! Active admin staff with a dedicated server maintenance crew assure that the server is up as close to 24/7 as humanly possible! The server itself restarts twice a day, every 12 hours to ensure peak performance. Currently, we have 50+ playfields with a mix of pvp and pve (There's a playable area for just about anything you might be seeking!) Four of these playfields are starting planets! Base planets are included, but we have a large amount of custom created planets done by our talented staff. I.e., food, tools, simple handheld weapon ammo, ore packs, etc. Server Rules! Rule 1 - On PVP planets, everything is open season. Proceed at your own risk. Rule 2 - Your main base MUST be on a PVP planet if you wish to engage in PVP. If you are based on a CV, it is considered a Base and parking in a PVE zone is not allowed if you plan on doing any PVP. Rule 3 - You may NOT place turrets underground. They can shoot though the ground and there is no way to destroy them. If you are caught doing this the first offence is a 2 day ban. If there is a second offence you will be perma banned. You may however still place the player (sentry) turrets inside your base. Rule 4 - No items will be replaced/spawned by admins for any reason. (The game is in Alpha status and there will be some bugs/glitches. Been on this server for 2 weeks now. Very good server, great admins, runs great. Highly recommend anyone into MP to give it a try.
Great server! Been there for a few days and it is amazing to be on a server with so many people and have a thriving marketplace. If you only want PvE you can do that and just buy the E and Z ore from the marketplace. I was able to buy a T2 drill after only a few minutes of mining. Very different from low population servers. Great community! Need a ride to a different planet, just ask in chat and for a few blue crystals, someone will come by and pick you up. If you are concerned about a lack of ore on a highly populated server, dont be. This server wipes the starter planets every week and the other planets have tons of ore. I left the starter planet on my second day and within a few hours on my new home planet, I have stacks of all the ores ready for me to use for whatever building projects I want Just be sure you read the rules and the in-game map and understand the rules about which planets and space are PvE and PvP. I can not say enough good things about this server!
Tried join but it kicks me for not running EAC. Installed EAC and launched game using EAC launcher. Still kicks me for no EAC. Also why do you care where people park their CV's if they want to participate in pvp. Offline protection mods kind of make this rule pointless. You cant hurt them anyways.
Darkwulf, There are many more planets on this server than the base game and a few of them have special rules. One planet allows the space around it to be PvP while the planet itself is PvE. There was a new person who just assumed because the planet was PvE that the entire system, (space and moon) were PvE too and he parked his newly created CV in space where it was allowed to be attacked. When he came on the next day and discovered his ship was stripped, he threw a fit and posted crap on every forum he could find. That is why I gave the warning. Also, you need to NOT run the game the same way you have been doing in order to run it with EAC. You need to find the install folder for the game (steam/steamapps/common/empyrion and then use the file called "EAClauncher" to start the game. If you just right click it and then in the options send it to the desktop you will have a new icon on your desktop to use for playing on the multiplayer servers. You have to launch the game using the EAC launcher in order to run it using EAC. If you run the game from the old icon, you are not running EAC. Hope that helps. (EDIT - Sorry I did not see the part in your post where you said you were using the EAC launcher)
Not sure how I feel about people "donating" to get ore packs, how does the system work exactly? What's stopping me from buying my way to victory by purchasing ore packs from you?
Buying an ore pack doesnt really give you any advantage other than saves you some time. I have only been on the server for a week and I have at least 5 stacks of all ores sitting in my constructor. Once you leave the starter planets, the other planets have tons of meteors that allow you to mine them very quickly and since the server has a big population, you can sell a few stacks for credits on the marketplace and then buy the other things you need. There are "wanted" orders up for new players to earn their first bunch of credits, things like raw meat, fiber and base ores. If you want to spend the time to mine your own ores, that is fine. The server is designed to get people to the fun part of base/ship building and PvP as soon as they are ready. Of course, you are also free to settle into a PvE planet and just build things and amass a fortune on the marketplace too.
Hi server admin I really need your help my friend was transiting from surface to space and then got DC now he cant log back in the server it froze at the loading screen, but I can see his name in the server every time he tries to log back in. Could you please help with this I am really out of hope and we want to play with eachother thanks you so much
This is an example of game breaking lol, so basically anyone could come into your server, rule by virtue of their wallet, and have a faction that's unstoppable because it has unlimited resources. I'd understand if it's a limited time deal like one pack every few weeks but...
What is the difference between the situation you describe and me and 5 friends mining meteors for an hour and having almost unlimited resources? Its not the resources, its the number of active people you have on and the design of your ships. You could buy ore packs all day but if you are building weak ships or if my group outnumbers you I will own you all day long. Dont have to worry about that now since the server is dead and gone...
