You must be one of those guys fascinated with graphics. There is no gameplay here... yet. It gave me the most boring experience in a while. Seriously dude? You owe me 25 bucks :) Trusted you because you nailed it on Planet Nomads. Potential yeah.

    I've played 7 hours already and there's still a lot I haven't done yet.

Meanwhile I played planet nomads for 41 minutes and was done until they add something to do. (It was neat as a tech demo but it is not really "a game" yet.)

I think they both have great potential.

I was mostly giving Upsetkiller some ****. :D

Same, 8 hours on Osiris, 1 hour on Planet Nomads. I was meaning that Planet Nomads has incredibly more potential simply by being a voxel game. With Osiris, yeah the G.A.V. is cool, but you'll never build your own ships in Osiris.

It is good though that there are currently many options for space games. I've wanted games like these my whole life and now they're popping up everywhere.

I guess I'm spoiled with building my vehicles and bases block by block. Osiris doesn't look like it's catering to builders, and has more of a survival focus. I'll keep my eye on it but I'm gonna wait till it gets more content.

like the mech vehicle, or riding alien creatures.

Nice visual production values. Not much else at this point.

Yeah it looks like building is going to be lame. Apparently the player flew to another planet to live in a subdivision filled with cookie cutter houses.

Building is a big deal for some of us. All the other stuff in the game is just ways to get stuff you use to build. And if you can't build, then getting stuff doesn't have nearly the same appeal.

It's also going to have a lot less replay value if the map/universe is the same every time.

It's still early, maybe they'll change their minds about that stuff.

I have to say I like the look of that game, its just a shooter but it sure looks like a fun one, and they might add more like building I havent read the steam page so I dunno what features it might get, its no Empyrion with its vast array of features but its also not trying to be.
    Nice find.

creature farming and mounts will give it something empyrion currently doesn't have. I'm very curious how the devs will implement that in.

for those who encountered it, imagine taming one of those giant worms that would make Dune take notice, and having it guard your base. that'd be pretty epic.

Their forum over there is pretty toxic. Maybe I missed all that here having found this game after it had been in EA for quite a while.

Its a bit expensive at 24 bucks for such an early game, with very little content still.
But I got it anyway to take a look.
The only thing that is a little worrying is that it looks similar to No Mans Lies graphically.
Anyway downloading, will check it out tomorrow if I can get my butt of Empyrion !

It has some nice elements. The playable area is very small at the moment. Not a lot to do. I was done with all that there is to do in about 18 hours. Lots of promises...time will tell.
