    I got more work done on a new Test HV in Experimental Creative that i'll then show to the Devs as a potential example Hover War Tank then ask them to look at its BP, then ask them how the hell the current HV Thrusters are supposed to suffice.

    Remember folks: "Overkill is the best kill."

    I was actually wondering - since I don't have the experimental branch enabled, are the "directional" thrusters the 1x1x1's, or the larger 1x2x1's?

    I ask because I ran into an interesting situation building the Erelim, where its stats tell me it should be capable of 17m/s horizontal movement, yet it won't exceed 3m/s (and this is in space). I slapped a couple of the larger thrusters on it, and lo and behold, the speed "unlocked" and it could accelerate to full velocity.

    Indeed. It's super annoying. I wish I knew what caused it, as even large structures that are under the block limit can be affected by it. It put me off finishing one of my Mega BA projects as well.

    I can't get used to the new Thruster Names & am still stuck on the Old Names. Directional = 1x1x1. The 1x2x1 had the Old Name of "Normal Thruster" if I remember right.

    Your HV might have the same thrust-locking problem then. Try sticking at least one "normal" thruster to it in each direction and see if that lets it move properly.

    I just started a mountain top tower myself and am going to have to deal with these same issues. I've got the foundation down and all of the underground work done, now it's time to start building up. Not sure yet how I'm going to proceed. My initial idea was to have the landing bay as part of the tower, mid way up, but now I'm thinking I will put it on the ground floor, maybe even build it into the underground part because the hangar doors seem to be so heavy.

    After I get the Test HV done, perhaps I can see if I can remember to BP it then Spawn in another one & replace 2 of the Directionals on each side with one Normal & see what happens. :)

    Today...... I was going to play ESO, but I wanted to make a purchase from their store. Long story short, it couldn't work because the format they have for the billing address doesn't match what the bank has on file for my address. It caused me so much stress that it triggered a seizure due to MS, gave me pain and all that H.H., so....... I went to empyrion and grabbed my sniper rifle........ I searched........ I shot as many aliens in the head as I could....... I lost count.

    Now a restart as I need to make alterations to the playfield.yaml again. :p

    I finished a Test Hover War Tank to submit to the Devs & have submitted it! :)

    Now I wonder if I should next turn my attention to Experimental Branch Test SV making...?

    For the Topic: Looks like time for me to return to Stable. I tried to make a Test SV to help with SV Experimental Branch Feedback, but it appears I was too late. >_<

    Time to blow everything up & start anew. Yet again, out with the old, in with the new. (aka if there's any of my Old BPs ya like & would hate to see blown up, ya might wanna save a copy of the BP while ya can. ;))

    I don't Envy how hard it'll be to hit stuff with the upper & lower guns, but with that said, it looks like Ingenious work! :)

    For the Topic: I've begun work on a new GMT Post-Stable 4.0.0 Hover War Tank that's using a new Design Idea Experiment or 2. :) (I already miss being able to use more then one Artillery Turret. Now it feels more like an actual literal Artillery Turret & less like a Tank Turret... despite the fact that ironically it isn't exactly normal for typical Tanks to have more then one Main Turret, vs me in 3.4.2 trying to wrangle 3 - 5 of the things onto my Tanks. :p

    Oh well, the only thing I can do is try to adapt. It'll be cool if we can someday Hotbar our Artillery Turret to switch between Manually Controlling it & Driving more easily & quickly someday for those times when ya can't have someone in a Passenger Seat Operating the Artillery Turret for ya. :)
