The Battlecruiser based on Space 1999.

This is a alien ship that hunted and destroyed the four Jarak ship.
As a battlecruiser this ship should hunt cruisers and and smaller vessels. It should avoid confront with battleships that have plenty and powerful firepower.

The vessel has about 350 mts lenght. To help moving inside from front to rear and back there are two tunels where two shuttle can be use as tube transport. several stops in the way allow to access the areas.
On the top of the main body, behind the navigation bridge, there are gates and a small internal dock for a escape/reconnaiscence pod.

    Hi folks,

This is my first attempt at building/ sharing a blueprint. I attempted to re-create the Nova Courier from Star Wars Galaxies, a ship I have many fond memories of :). Feedback welcome, and if there are any other SWG fans out there who wish to take this design and improve it, feel free :)

Just put up my 4th CV (2nd one that is worthy to share) on the workshop the Ambassador. All thrusters are exposed in case they update the game to make thrusters deal damage to blocks in front of them. and it isn't loaded down with guns. you can add more if you like. Check it out and let me know what ya think.
If the bridge looks familiar it's because i mimicked the outside from Mr.Icecats Hakon (love that ship) with a few changes.

I like it, it's clean and mostly pretty :D

my master builder would probably tell you that there's not enough detail, too many flat planes etc, but he's just a broken record on those things. I like clean and simple.

I will say however, that very large open expanses of one block high rooms is a bit dull, I understand you're no interior designer, but is anyone here? apart from that guy who does the fantastic bases maybe. There's a few tricks I've learned here though, try and get at least two blocks open space in some places, vary the ceiling, vary the floor level even, add interior walls, use either glass or shutter windows, or even solid walls to make smaller (in floor plan) sub-rooms, and try and add some architectural detailing, greeble in the right places can transform a room from "nice" to "wow".

all in all, it's a nice ship, definitely subbed.

and I totally forgot to mention this. This is awesome. Style, Simplicity, and Thought go hand in hand with this. I will definitely be building one of these for my private fleet.

Thanks for the advice and suggestions. I was aiming for a clean looking ship. I'll see what i can do about the 1 block high rooms. I try and make them at least 2 blocks unless i'm restricted by size/space. Not sure what other kind of architectural detail i can create/think of but i'll give it a shot. Again thanks for the feedback.

with 1 and even 2 block high rooms, architectural greeble can be difficult, which is why my master builder prefers to build cavernous things where he has the freedom to throw shapes around willy nilly.

sometimes though, things can be as simple as adding tube blocks with square/sloped blocks on the end that can be textured to look like HVAC units, or add pillars to the side of a room, sloped blocks in the corners to stop things being square. Experiment, you'll find the tricks you like ;)

Gotcha. Working with some round blocks in a space station i'm tinkering with. Have some hallway tubes (quarter round, thinwall, quarter round top and bottom). couldn't get a door to fit them nicely so i had to use ramps instead as a shutter type door...

I'll try rounding some things on the inside, more texturing, and detailing.

The only thing I would like to add to my esteemed colleague's advice is this:

sometimes, the thing that does not fit, is the best fit.

In a nutshell, I can't abide flat sheets of blocks. More often than not, if I create something smooth, sleek, with nice transitions and flowing lines, I feel compelled to go back and completely bork it! *smh

still, I'm more of a steampunk/dieselpunk kinda dude, I like my ships like I like my women; a bit rusty, oddly shaped and smelling of warp coolant!

Ill keep that in mind. except for the smelling of warp coolant part. I'm going to give myself a lobotomy to remove that from memory for forever.....

So, our master builder finally decided that enough is enough, even though the paintjob is unfinished, both inside and out, and there maybe a few structural idiosyncrasies, that Abaddon is now good enough for public consumption. (I think he's just had enough of painting for the rest of his life!)

So, here she is, the ship that started our fleet many moons ago in another universe, it's been torn down and rebuilt several times, and we love her, every damn greebled line, nozzle and barrel.

    Notes:
    1) Yes, we've not finished the paintjob, I'm not sure we ever will.
    2) We're not particularly happy about some of the weapon placements, we might even try and fit some more on, there's certainly space!
    3) If you take this into atmosphere, we're not responsible for the amount of fuel used or any damage to the planet.
    4) You should really consider this still as a work in progress, it will probably be updated at some point. maybe.

Liked for the reference to Space 1999. It was a great show for its time and good acting is good acting anytime. Thanks for reminding me of it!

See, the thing is, we don't see it like that, it's millstone, a monster, a wayward child that needs beating into submission.

It's not that we don't love it, we do, but sometimes it's hard to see the beauty in something when you've been face-to-faceplate trying to paint it for months ;)

I do however, LOVE the responses we've been getting :D
