Ladies and Gentlemen, I hereby present the SpaceTech Heavy Corvette Stiletto. This is a 1/2 scale replica of the Stiletto heavy corvette from Nexus the Jupiter incident. The actual ship is 518m, this recreation is 286m so slightly bigger than 1/2 scale. The B variant of the Stiletto is designed for expedition and exploration missions and not full combat missions. None the less, the B variant Stiletto is capable in battle with almost full weapon coverage resulting in minimal blind spots accross the entire hull. The vessel is also capable of housing and maintaining 12 small vessels. The B variant has amble crew and medical facilities and massive cargo capacity for long varied missions. The vessel is designed for crew convenience placing crew quarters close to operations sections accross the ship so on-call crew do not have far to travel to attend thier posts. SV pilots and crew have immediate access to the main hangar deck to mimmise response times of defensive craft in the event of a crisis. The Stiletto is armoured with hardened steel across 90% of its hull, critical and volotile components such as fuel, ammunition and Oxygen supplies are protected with combat steel armor. Stores of volatile components are seperated to prevent secondary explosions in the event of hull breach. The vessels modular design also allows for containment of sudden unexpected hull breaches and its compartmentalised design will allow the vessel to continue being combat effective even with multple hull breachs and extensive hull damage making the stiletto a must have for long dangerous missions. The Stiletto's weaponry caters for all combat circumstances from repelling fighter attacks to taking on Space stations and other capital vessels. The long range artilery units and missle launchers can engage targets at great range while flak, cannon and gattling turrets keep the vessel safe from closer fast moving targets. In close combat with larger vessels the plasma and laser turrets will make short work of most enemies. The Stiletto is the fastest ship in the SpaceTech fleet, its 3 huge main thruster engines allow it to cross systems quicker than any other ship of its size. This gives captains a tactical advantage to surprise enemies. Captains also have the realistic choice of outrunning a superior enemy if need be. The Stiletto series has modular build design which allows it to be reconfigured for a variety of roles including the following: - Heavy military battleship - Full Carrier ship - Colony ship - Disaster relief / hospital ship - Fleet command / Flag ship - Expedition / exploration vessel - Heavy cargo hauler - Luxury passenger ship If your requirements are not listed, contact a SpaceTech representative to discuss custom configuration of your Stiletto Corvette today. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=790980511&searchtext=stiletto
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=729022771 I've updated the Kshatra to 4.0! Have fun!
IT IS FINISHED! Well, sort of. There's an area in the front I have no idea what to do with, lol. But here it is anyway: THE MAN OF WAR.
HERE is my CV. 1 month in the making. The Vexus. Come check it out guys http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=792305953
I didn't make this. I feel this needs some exposure though: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=791545417&searchtext=Galactica-Fin Very detailed original (1978) Battlestar Galactica.
I took a look at this in creative mode. I think the engine pod probably isn't quite fat enough but it's impressive. And very big.
AMAZING. I am trying to make ships, but they always end up looking like flying bricks. So what is the drilling bay? you land the ship on top of a deposit and then jump down to mine the deposit?
A quick, cheap, handy little CV for starting out: Designed for the MP server I'm playing on so I can get between different planets. A bit cramped and not exactly crammed with luxuries or equipment, but enough for me as I have a decent base with everything else. I'll build a better one later Steam Workshop link: Click Here!
Yee! Thank you! The Drilling Bay is designed exactly what you said. Simply for protection from monsters and drones during drilling. Though now there is auto-drilling, the drilling bay is less useful now. But one major design flaw of the Bay is that most planets terrain can be too rugged lol it works best with flat terrian. But hey just one feature of the ship! Thanks
I was going to say that looks like it's inspired by the starships in the Starship Troopers movie then I read Roger Young on the side (although the original is Rodger) so I guess not only was I right but your version was pretty good!
oui un petit clin d’œil. (Roger) et un prénom français, pour une copie presque conforme a l’original .
Ladies & Gentlemen, I'd like to introduce you to the KSV-33 Seraphim's big, badass cousin. I give you the KCV Nephilim...
I kinda like this... interesting design. Also, bonus points for making it so cheap! I have yet to master a cheap CV in 4.x The most innovative and creative design I have seen on the workshop. This is mesmerizing.
Continuing my series of civilian vessels, I present the SMV Hammerhead container vessel. Crew of a Captain, Engineer/First Officer, and two other crew. Galley, Engineering, Crew Quarters, Officer's Quarters. Hangar bay for a small shuttle. Designed to carry 60 of my Orbit-to-Surface Containers (or any other pods in the Steam Library). Enjoy my silly.
Damn, the designs in this thread are awe-inspiring. Seems a bit like 'meh' why even bother with my functional little designs? But ah well, I'll post mine too: -=-=-=- ADDIT: I'll come back and add some exterior pics to each of these on their respective workshop pages at some point in the future. They are all strictly functional, though my more recent designs are starting to get a _bit_ of aesthetic "dressing." To give you an idea . . . there is a pic in one of them . . . CV Intrepid page I think that has the front of one and the back of the other . . . somebody commented "The beginnings of the Vogon Fleet.Cool." and it is so true! These ships are just basically flying blocks, totally functional, and probably pretty solid, but not pretty to look at I do like designing ships in creative (the first few I did were in Survival and that is a bit of a chore but it actually helps to learn how to do it I think), so I may well do some more "pretty" designs down the road. CV_Intrepid Just about my fourth CV design (well counting number 2.5 as number three . . .). Pretty much started as my attempt to make the smallest CV 'reasonably' survivable I could make. I kept a nine block canned veggie farm though, and when the idea to put the five guns on the front hit me me I kinda tossed the "smallest possible" idea out the window. No idea how it would do in PvP but I think it will serve well in early game PvE. CV_Galapagos (resembles the now extinct turtle . . .). First CV I made. Totally functional for PvE. CV_Onyx A revised version of CV_Galapagos. CV_Odyssey Another CV I designed . . . cannot even recall what it looks like though! HV_Civic Just a little compact for bopping around town . . . SV_Viper The name is probably a bit misleading. Not really very dangerous . . .
Lots of impressive CVs here. I've never been very good at "detail work" - giving it extra bits to look "busy" so it's not just some basic shape. This is still incomplete - have 2 decks worth of space still not built-out internally, and most of the outside needs detail work, but I'm always lost as to where to go to "liven it up." I did indeed want this large bridge aesthetic, but the outside needs work so it doesn't just look like a box. I really want to do something with the rest of the main hull, too. Suggestions welcome: Inside the rear hanger: There is also a smaller underside hanger. Crew quarters on one side, a kitchen/lounge on the other. A forward observation room, with a passenger seat.
