It looked like it has more to do with the graphics changes. They may fall off quicker, not be allowed to go further, or may be a tighter beam. Also seems the adjustments in control panel are not as varied, but rather harsh 'steps' now too.
till I read that I wondered what the heck that texture was (hardly use SI myself so it's not a common sight). I think the beam is tighter and the range is much higher - might be a side effect of the new lightning. if you move further back you can still illuminate a lot without much loss in brightness.
It was designed to be a small/agile ship, my goal at the time was to keep it small but include full survival gear (under the shutters on the back). the fact it's only two squares tall was quite deliberate at the time. Today I was goofing around, saw some defense stations that are stationary HV's in the workshop and decided to take a crack at one. Sadly, It grates against my personality to make a stationary HV. This was the end result of my musings, debating on uploading it. It looks kinda nifty at night.
Nice mobile versions Yeah, my DDT's on the workshop are all 'drop n leave'. I designed them to be easily 'picked up' with the multi tool I use them to defend parked SV's near POI I am raiding lol. PVE useful anyhow, no clue how they are in PVP... players are a BIT (just a smidge) smarter than the idiotic drones.
Just put the finishing touches on updating the old MS Titan with alpha 4 blocks (at least I think I got them all) and giving it a little bit of a face lift. Workshop link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=794838969
I really should make it a drop and leave like yours, but I found something out while experimenting. Truss blocks and Steel blocks have the save weight. The one on the right requires 80 more iron to build, but both are the same weight.
Right. Eleon are doing weights and values pass right now, so expect it to get fixed shortly. The truss blocks though are hella weak vs steel. Even though they are just as heavy lol So I'm gonna guess that the truss wieght will be dropped in relation to their HP comparison. PS: Wouldnt it be cool if each chair you had (except the pilot seat) had a designated default turret to automatically control the instant you jumped into it ??? Oh also on your design, I would personally trun each of the extra seats to face out from center. PPS: If you dont mind, I'm going to use your image above in a bug report about hopefully getting that 'grid in the distance' graphic issue fixed. Your runway should be pretty much black the entire distance. Not turn bright gray with a fuzzy grid all over it.
I was hoping it wasn't just me. If I remember right the Spotlights were also still awaiting tweaking & regaining ability to adjust their Range, Intensity, & Light Color down the road too, so hopefully with the new Lighting Changes they will get looked at eventually now. Many thanks for the Feedback. For the Topic: Another room done, & I think i've almost finished the Internal Structure. 2 Rooms to go, then can Encapsulate the Inner Structure & build the Outside of it, then hopefully complete. So naturally Dad just had to come home this weekend & scare the hell outta me that he might possibly drag me off to help him with stuff to do & fuck me over outta all hope of me getting the Entry done & Submitted in time before Contest Due Date end & have auto-losing the Contest due to Entry Turn In failure still having no choice but to be my fault... :'(
That's adorable. Please upload it. These are my "baby's first SV/HV combo." They both have survival constructors; the SV is level 7 of course, and the HV is level 3. Material costs.. 130 iron, 120 copper, 100 cobalt and 70 silicon for the SV, and 150 iron, 130 copper, 120 cobalt and 70 silicon for the HV. When I start a new game, I look for a titan and salvage the thrusters and deco stuff from it and it's generally enough to get the HV blueprint built right away.
Today was work on Typhon, We finished the structure/layout of the rear dorsal hangar (picture below), and found uses for more space in the rear upper section (more RCS, more fuel, ammo resupply constructors & control room, tidied up some access corridors, general second pass constructiuon. With it's hull largely complete except for greeble, we can even get started on painting..... Oh God, the painting. Please O Wondrous Devs, Hear my plea..... Mirror Symmetry Painting Please!
Ok, it's uploaded here: HV-Mobile Defense Turret I also have 2 starter vessels, but they have no crafting faculties, just a cargo box. I had uploaded versions that did have crafting faculties, but hardly anyone subscribed to them and I took them down. HV-AABMV SV-AABMV It would be very nice if you could do that. Today I did another low-resource / survival build. My base in survival now has 4 of these ringing the valley my base is in.
Finally published the other bases and vehicles from my most recent survival game. Gentlemen, I give you the "Endurance" line.
Spent some time on the UnknownSkies server, quite a nice bunch of folks there. My friend and I started on their 'hardest' planet, and are doing all right. Welcome to Fort Courage, home of Zen, GmbH.
Well, I'll tell you anyway With a full tank of gas (Large fuel packs in 6 T3 tanks) it's good for litte over an hour in Omicrons atmoshere.
