Im in Australia Fractalite. Queensland in fact, where its lovely and warm, in the sub tropics. We have dropbears !
Just to put my 2 cents in here... I tried NMS for an hour or so, and just could not to get into it. Maybe I just didn't invest enough time, but I wasn't instantly interested like I was with EGS. And here I am over a year later... Still playing almost every day.
Of all the things the game needs, building a static location that is counter to the whole idea of travel and discovery... wasn't one of them.
Well I haven't played the new update yet. Maybe tonight I will. But watching a few Youtube videos, Portals can now be used to travel back and fourth from your home planet. And YES the game needed something more to do. Building both planet side and in space on freighters fits the bill. Plus now we have storage containers to stock pile resources.
Still needs to drop price base building as far as i saw on youtube is bland , and offers NOTHING meaning full to the table the worlds are still empty , flora and fuana has no meaningful use , no real danger its still an over priced pos , unless it drops to true indie level i dont think its fate will change
*barges in* No Man's Sky= Gaming Marmite, 'nuff said. Inb4lock 'cause this thread is only going to go one way; the flaming inferno of hate and bile!
I started playing Empyrion, because I was looking for a space game to soothe my disappointment with No Man's Sky. Empyrion has been a pleasant surprise in all of the ways that No Man's Sky fell short.
I left Empyrion after 1700+ hrs play. Went looking for something different. Nomans sky works for my. And I would think anyone else that has Nomans sky is happy to see updates comming out after the long silence. As for game pricing, thats a totaly person decision to pay the asking price or not.
It's always a little sad when someone burns out on a game before said game is fully finished. But I guess that is both the gift and curse of Early Access games.
Have to pace yourself. Take little breaks... but not BIG ones, cause its really hard to get back into a game after a long break :/
Aww thanks guys. just a side note. I was on for a few days the other week testing out a new video card. Went from a 750ti oc to a gtx 1060. Need to do more testing but I didnt really see much difference.
u kidding me xD a 750ti is roughly half of a gtx 670 and a gtx 670 is roughly half of a gtx 970 the gtx 1060 in faster than the 980 . thats a massive upgrade , 3x + edit: did u mean in no mans sky only ?
Actually, depending on what version of the 980 we are talking about, it can be 33% faster/better than 1060. Especially the titan. I have a 1070 right now and when I was choosing my graphics card 2 months ago it was either a 980 Ti or 1070, as the results were quite comparable but prices were quite different.
no version of GTX 980 is faster than the gtx 1060 at their maximum clocks , mind you i am talking about the 6 gigs version if you meant gtx 980 ti then its an entirely separate card from a separate gpu die , which is the gtx titan
All of the '60' nvidia cards are crap. It denotes bargin bin. While '70' is middle of the road, and '80' are the top end. Comparing an 80 to a 60 is just laughable unless you are jumping many revs (like a 480 vs 1060... oh wait, the 480 is STILL better lmao).
you feeling alright ? read my original post again , the over 3x upgrade was hinting at his move from 750ti to the gtx 1060 i never said the 1060 is faster than the freaking 980ti xD hence my whole statement saying the 980ti is not a part of the 980 class . also gpu-bench ? really ? the most generic site one could find .
