combination of itemmenu to add alien core to myself, and the faction command to turn a ship or base into player owned. placing an alien core sets it as alien, that's why the faction command is necessary.
Introducing, Spawn. This is a very solid ship that is visually stunning, but I am not quite sure where this falls in my line up of HV's... it does not possess hardened steel, but it does have 4 rocket launchers that costs 10 Neodynium - so a more exotic resource, but not much of it... I dunno, tough to say. The colors are Dark green with orange but since the alt-o BP capture process does not really do a very good job with dark green, I placed it over lava for spookiness - DO NOT let that fool you(granted lava is sweet) it looks better when the base colors are present. This is going to be a Drone Base. Eventually. This is the last POI that is missing to populate a starter planet with Pharos POIs. I do have sort of a planetary HQ planned, but on a starter planet this might be overkill. Then again, maybe not. The outside is coming together like planned, the inside is still barren. The good thing is, spawning drones and the Troop Transport work well, I had my doubts but was prooven wrong. Now lets see if I can come up with an interesting inside, too. And many many thanks for the mergestructs command, I only had top build one fourth of the structure and then copy-paste it. Speeds up building a lot.
Just created a frame for an HV that was not quite what I was envisioning, but realized it might be nice for someone else: Do not get me wrong, it is a nice frame, I just had something else in mind. Am attaching BP and .jpg to this post. Enjoy!
Truthfully that looks like the start of a SV Shape to me. I can totally imagine that shape as a CV too.
@Tyrax Lightning , I thought SV at first too, but I want to incorporate a tweak that I feel is more CV like. Also I've been looking for a CV concept lately that has a flat front (not counting the "wingtips") so I could try something.
Still not quite what I was thinking, but, I think you will agree, pretty sweet: Introducing, Minion. An super agile, hilariously fast, well armed level 5 survival HV. Minion is designed to be mean, so go hunt yourself some drone loot. Maybe a tad pricey for level 5 but I was envisioning this for the intrepid player that manages to land near or adventures to find one of the titan wrecks - with maybe a little mining along the way. I am looking at you @Scoob Can be very comfortably upgraded with better weapons as you progress to higher levels. Helps me to have a workbench.
@Fractalite - very nice indeed! Everything I design tends to turn into a box as I can't help but go for function over form...I think I need to practise more, as I always build stuff in Survival. That said, I did build a Tiny HV in my current SP game that I'm quite pleased with, I called it "Pond Skimmer" as the Hover Engines are on "legs" that stick out at 45 degrees from each corner. Made it super light, but also super stable with minimal materials. I never got around to colouring and texturing it though. I think I should pull some of my Survival designs into Creative and tweak them a bit... Scoob.

Requires: Iron Ingot 570 Copper Ingot 280 Cobalt Ingot 230 Silicon Ingot 170 Features: 3 Ammo Boxes 4 Cargo Boxes 4 Fuel Tanks 4 Gatling Guns 2 Generators 2 Underwing Spotlights 3 O2 Tanks 3 RCS Fridge Yes, it could stand some improvement and I've made some in subsequent versions. I still build this one first because it's cheap, easy to fly and it can take down drones in one burst. Although the turret buff makes it useless for head-on POI assaults its maneuverability means that at worst you'll take a few dents if you get caught by surprise.
i dont want to bum you and maybe i am a little bit spoonfeed here, but that is not cheap if you ask me. cheap on copper silicon and cobalt maybe but not really on iron i will send you/post here an example when i get home On topic: I visited a Planet, i was never on, in the dedi server i play on and there where blue crystals tons of them, so i gathere around 40 killed 20 somethign desert golems and then i wanted to fly back with my faction mate. However when we warped back i got dced. This normally letsyou be stranded in space. But not this time. this time i was set right into the atmosphere of the planet. so 800m to fall ... i am like wtf 750m to fall pressing j ... 700m to fall press space 600m to fall roughly 23 m/s ... 400 m to fall roughly i am still kind of you did this before ... 200m to fall 80 somethign m/s this will not go well 150m to fall lets start the jetpacks 20m to fall 20m/s touchdown right into the destroyed POI lost half my health boy that was something i didnt do in like a month... .... ... ... actually that was fun .... .... ....................... then an admin helped me back to my home planet i logged off an ddid this over and over and over on different planets in singleplayer
I like the design, but that's both fairly large and rather expensive vs. my most basic SV's - about 5x the material costs in fact! I often put together the most basic of designs, with a handful of filler blocks, just to get me into orbit early-game. My latest HV, while tiny, saw me try to style it to a degree, thought it really need colour and texture to look its best, something I've not done yet. Once my CV is built and my small HV and SV docked, I may work on them more. However, I do want to do another "drop ship" HV design and shoot myself at a planet in it again. My prior one was large-ish, but I quite fancy building a huge mobile base HV with multiple constructors etc. just for fun. Thought: We have SV's and HV's that share the smaller block size, and BA's and CV's that share many of the larger blocks. I'd love to build a HCV - Hover Capital Vessel - so, it's a hover, but uses larger blocks and has access to the full BA/CV tech. I think it'd be great traversing the map in a land-going war ship / mobile base Scoob.
