Hello everyone! While preparing the content for the next major updates, i'd like to ask you for feedback on an important topic. Question: What do you think is the LEAST fun single-task action gameplay element in the game right now? Feel free to nominate single-task actions that really need to improve, and tell us WHY you think they are the least fun actions in the game by now and maybe make ONE suggestion for a change - with a short as possible (!) description. Single-Task action = for example drilling ore with T1 Drill, leveling terrain, placing a block, coloring a block, managing device XY via control panel, etc Please be as precise as possible! We won't discuss about global categories, because this will render this feedback topic useless. (Global categories are for example: PvP or PvE, "fighting" or "walking" or "mining" or "repair ships" = categories that include a multitude of actions)! PAINTING AND TEXTURING! Painting and texturing take twice as long (in our estimations) to do as compared to building. the one thing I'd like to see is mirrored painting and texturing, that alone would cut the time taken in half for 90% of our builds. after that, large scale painting/texturing. [edit - blimey. first!]
I would have say the hydrogen generators, they could stack high on oxygen, because I just be destroy all the excess oxygen that i do not need.
^^ What he said. Painting & texturing. Its just so labour intensive & time consuming. I would love if you could pre assign blocks with colour & texture as you are building. Close second, a quickbar for vehichles you can modify. Controlling vehicles via control panel is clunky. I would love to hop in a turret by pressing a button.
In the early game: Ore mining, it's boring but somebody has to do it. In the late game: eating, you couldn't care less…
Hover vehicles constantly flipping over or trying to go upside down when in tunnels. Maybe add a feature that levels out terrain under the hover vehicle? Like the feature for the drill, but as an option for the HV or harvester module. (Hopefully this doesn't fall under global. At the moment this is the most frustrating thing in the game for me)
That's an device feature, not a single-task action ;-) We'll discuss improvements there at a different time, ok?
Having a use for O2 that is in excess like pressurized underwater areas or something like that or as an alternative fuel source or even explosive. The faction I belong to on the server have been brain storming on new uses for such an abundant and severely unused resource such as this, that and a new hardened concrete block collecting rock and stone bricks plus storing them takes us space that you hate to waste.
I hate putting the bike again in the toolbar each time I pick it up again Suggest, make toolbar preferences persistent OR, make the bike not pickup-able, getting only the dissasembled componentes(the only component, that is) after all, this is a survival game, DONT LOSE YOUR BIKE!
Eating.I think just because you have to do it so often, and the anything but canned veggies or meat is not worth the effort.
Collecting Pentaxide... Either the warp fuel comsumption is too high or the blue crystals are too rare.
Hi, I have been building my CV for a while because the XY only support "UNEVEN"(single) plane. My design is an "ODD"(pair) number and the symmetry planes are useless. So Imagine my joy to build everything by hand.... I'm in the second week already. To fix it it would be beneficial to implement/add ODD geometry planes too not only Uneven.
With the flattening tool it should be possible to build slopes. Then you can build tunnels which you can pass easier with a HV. The coloring and texturing should work with the symmetrie axis too.
Collecting Plants (specifically Fiber). Finding and collecting plants by hand every time you need them can be a pain, fiber especially as you often need a lot of it. one simple solution would be to make all plants that can be collected plantable by the player, this would allow players to have farms for any of the plants that are used a lot.
Having to continually refill food and O2 bars as the game progresses. Perhaps players can earn upgrades which extend the amt of food and O2 which can be consumed or slow down the rate of depletion. This is one of the few actions which aren't upgraded as the game progresses.
For a single action I would say removing blocks when in creative. When you place blocks with any parallel plane you are unable to remove them both with the plane active, not to mention all blocks take the same amount of time to break as survival when using a T2 Multi-tool.

Having set my jump button on my mouse scrollwheel (by clicking it , not scrolling) i have to use this button + shift if i want to jumpboost with an HV is sometimes unhandy/annoying. Not sure why the remap of the key isn't working properly for HV. I'm one of those arrowkey players and can not play otherwise. So i had to map it to my mouse. Another setback is that sometimes unintentionally it scrolls the focus of the hotbar while jumping. Would be great if i could remap scrolling aswell.
I don't mind building but I hate doing small rooms because when I want to build a wall I need to keep that in mind that i can't put any other blocks or decorations on the other side. I just wish to place blocks within the other block or something like that. I don't know maybe blacklist some type of blocks so people don't accidently put a whole block in another block.
