here is the 1st 3 I have made Asuran Scout Asuran Warship: (just the Hull) Asguard Jotunn Class: (Hull)
I can't compare to the amazing talent a lot of you folks have! It is simply mind blowing. My talent is more along engineering lines and modding old or unfinished BP's. This is an oldie from the workshop that deserves an honorable mention. I only took the original hull and striped it bare, then completely rebuilt and modernized it. I spent 3 months on it replacing the hull blocks and building the engineering systems to make the class as low as possible for something as intimidating as possible after a hard day of admining and needed to blow off some steam.
Wow, that's a big dude! Looks like a huge fork-ended Space Rapier! (That ironically would no way in hell in ever having a Rapier's Finesse or Grace at Maneuverability.)
Here she is...and only 50% done Exterior still needs to be textures/painted and Modernised with lines, edges and grooves http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=856556434 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=856569418 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=856568498 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=856563870 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=856566720 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=856561425 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=856563383 Check out all the photos of her under my steam screenshots
Inspired by the ship in the Yoko Tsuno comic Three Suns of Vinea. If you like vintage comics, it's really good (English translation available).
Here's my first attempt at a CV - one of my favorite ships of all time. Not perfect by any means, but about as good as I could do with cubes and 45' angles.
Wanted to try out making "Properly large" exploration vessel that could house anything you need and replace any needs for normal planetary bases (I even gave it guns, since I know everyone here loves guns on capitals!), so here's something ugly, it's called: Mörkö (Boogieman) It's relatively large home away from home, which has everything inside you could dream of. Aside from living quarters, I have to confess I never make any of that roleplay stuff, although this time I did leave sufficient space for it just in case. Features (from nose to aft): Separate hangars for hover vessels / small vessels + landing pad on top of it. (alas repair bay is only on lower floor because we can only place one Huge two floored botanical section, which is only half in use with growing pots to slightly eat away building cost / time Drill turrets for asteroids. Complete crafting floor with open bottom so you can mine inside your cap ship instead of going out to meet (and meat) the locals. Second floor has huge free area that can be modiefied to do whatever you want, be it the living quarters or something else. Asymmetrical command deck! Every antenna in the game! (twice!) Double airlocks everywhere! So ship is sealed in airtight compartments, for future when we hopefully get the air inside ships! Ok, seems I never did drop my DSE-3 CV in this thread... so here it is, older build, back when I really was starting out (but recently updated for 5.0): http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=699519710
Nice. I like the utility look of it. Kind of a mix between the Event Horizon and the Cygnus from the black hole. Very cool! May we post pictures here of ships that we made, but have not put on the workshop?
Oh yeah. You can even attach the .epb here directly if you dont want to publish it on steam. I do that a LOT with the stuff I give Eleon.
Holy ship that thing is large What do you guys even put inside those thingies? I survival even my 5x10 block flying box of potatoes feels like there's everything needed inside so I cannot literally figure out how on earth you make all those kilometers long ships Don't get me wrong it looks awesome, but holy moly the grind that it would take to make that thing in survival!
That ship is actually 'very small' compared to the huge ships people make (which tend to end up all one color, and have empty interiors). That ship of mine, is small enough in areas to where I was able to color/texture/detail every surface and block without it feeling like an impossible task. If I went bigger (which I should have have done... given how it seems tight inside... hindsight and all that)... it could easily have turned into a nightmare to fully color/texture and detail. As an example, "The Consequence" is actually a dwarf next to the Atlantis City CV (in scale it seems about right though). And its about the same length as a couple of the AI Freighters added in recent updates.
So where's "The Truth"? Great looking ship, maybe someday I can get to that level. Just takes time and practice I guess.
