We had our first PvP faction Tournament. While great fun, unfortunately the sync issues make it for a very loooong fight due to lag shots
I think the abandoned factory on omicron is worse . There are anti vehicle turrets inside . Worse the entrance to that room is a blind hole in the floor
I think it was a glitch in the code. The value seems to be changing periodically and it lasted way more than 4 hours so go figure. It's turned into a pretty good starter CV. To post to the topic, yesterday was spent gathering rare ores in the PVP realms. It was fun to have that sense of alarm and watching the skyline for incoming ships while I quickly mine what I can and move on. I was able to get my advanced contstructor on and building up my BA. This game really keeps me busy and thinking. I love all the technical aspects to building to consider.
Been working on my mining outpost. I added some more complex structures to the deck and then I ended up reworking the med bay and the power generator room. It turned out pretty nice. Still tinkering a bit. I'm trying to decide what I want to do with the catwalk level. I might add a small structure there as a sort of control room or something. I've also been thinking about what I'd do to turn it into a POI. That more than anything has me motivated to finish it. It will be a fairly large structure to explore. Hopefully interesting. I'm considering going back and revamping my castle with the hedge maze too and turning that into a POI. Can you imagine that with actual monsters in the maze and inside the castle?
Well, over the past few days, I have made a thing. Welcome to an Empyrion RPG... http://empyriononline.com/threads/a-scarlet-planet.9560/
Spent a few hours trying to find asteroids around Ningues... Recorded a video of that which I cut down to about a half hour. I'll upload it later.
The astronaut gazed out through the armored glass of the command room wistfully, bidding goodbye to the shipyard on Masperon. He had labored for months on this vessel, aptly named Revenge, obsessing over its every detail. Each sonic-welded composite plate was bonded perfectly with its neighbor at the atomic level, the hydroponics bays were growing faster than projected, and the warp drive was now operating at full capacity. This ship would be a lifeboat to other survivors, as well as the first of the new fleet of Sapien battleships, to take the war to the Xenomorphs that seemed so intent on hunting them to extinction. Basically spent all day furnishing the CV I built yesterday so it's fit for deep space travel First thing's first, added a Cryo-sleep room, where I now go and switch on Godmode when I really can't be bothered waiting for 20,000 ore to refine, since Cryo doesn't actually work yet. Then I filled my hydroponics bay full of sweet Terran vegetables. Mhmm....goodbye roasted spider on a stick! And finally, made a new SV since my last one got shot to oblivion while I was in a POI (damned lack of turrets on SVs!). It looks so piddly in the huge hangar bay though... (the ships are the 'Revenge-B' and 'SV-Recon' from the workshop in case anyone's wondering)
Well, we've been... ...mining... ...mining... ... and mining some more! Meteorites have been falling down like crazy - never seen one before but I guess they are triggered once the original deposits are starting to be depleted. We've been mining so we can afford this... ...which will be our first warp-capable CV in this multiplayer game. And also later this.... .... my 328 meters of pure Mining Madness! Still a LOT to be done, but the main shape is not too far off so I can start concentrating on the details to bring it all together. And someday on the inside - definitely not gonna let her out without finishing the insides too. I have few accompanying vessels planned for this too - and also a landing pad base. So its gonna be full all around mining powerhouse with base facilities, four mining turrets, set of hover miners, ore processing and small freighters to transferring the ingots to the end customers. Also looking into four hover miner turrets, but still unsure how I do these as I think HV mining turrets won't fire if the HV is docked into a CV? But anyway, should be sweet! In no shape or form sensible - as this will NEVER mine as much resources as it will drain them while building & running it. But thats not the point really. We've been working on the CV's in creative as our multiplayer time is limited. Once the hulls are pretty much done, we will pop them into game. Well, once I manage to get a hold of 110,000 (... and counting) iron ingots, that is That pirate ship (which is my friends build) is much more reasonable sized and we should get it up and running during this weekend.
The NEW adventures of COP on the Minions of Survival Server: Having apparently cleared Event Horizon of all hostile lifeforms and players we have moved to a new Server called Minions of Survival. We believe the player base here can tolerate our play style a little better. That said while traveling abroad looking for that ever elusive Zac we stumbled upon an insanely well defended base in hostile space. To date we have never been able to capture a player space station that was not a Thermica station. I took in a light fighter only to have it wiped out in one pass, although I survived intact as the pilot. We then decided to bring in the Billy Clubs, having decided to not produce them since they are sooo brick like, we thought they might stand a chance, they did not. We lost 3 ships in less than 10 minutes. Abandoning the attempt while we rethought the attack I remembered an old pre-alpha build I did that was basically a fighting CV, built because someone said it was impractical. Taking the idea a step further I created the FlakBeetle. I hope you enjoy the short video of our attempt to take ENT Zeta Station.
I added a control room/tower thing to the catwalk section and sprinkled some cargo boxes around. Redid some of the trusswork and the crew quarters and got a little texture work done. Little teaser shot of the Omega Corp Mining Outpost
Gave the Scarlet Planet site an update, we're now caught up on all gaming content. Player bios are trickling in, and the colonists have made progress on the various Episode One goals. I'm happy with the site, and I look forward to a long progression of adventure! Looks like we'll have a total of 6-8 player survivors rotating in and out as their lives allow. There's a half dozen story-lines available, each intertwined with the entire system of planets. Right now, the players have started to uncover the first, which is how the MS Titan was destroyed. Next up is to finish the customized yamls for the Aesop system, so they're all ready as the players expand outward. --B. Below, see the precision of the pilots of Con=Am. Three pilots 'woke' at roughly the same time, and managed to put their pods down right next to each other, on the beach. This wasn't really 'planned', so each pod was on a different trajectory as it initially made planetfall. Con=Am pilots are the BEST pilots.
I recently went through all the POIs on my home planet (SP) and disabled them! I took out the drone base first, but one of the last ones I discovered was the Abandoned Mine! Quite an interesting experience! Between it and the Excavation Site I have manged to collect up about 190 Alien Blocks... IDK what I am gunna do with them! And no, I didn't die! ;o I had a legendary Plasma cannon and some stacks of ammo, I ripped apart all the mean nasties, though I had to rush back to my base to restock on ammo once... xD
The more alien blocks you have, the more likely it is you'll be corrupted, and turn into one of the alien Total Horrors.
Began my assault on the missile base on planet Ningues. Didn't think it would take so long (an hour into it right now due to drones showing up every so often).
It's not like I don't have fifty million projects lined up waiting to go but no, I had to add one more to the pile. I pulled the CV Lightning out of the game files and started tinkering with it. Interesting design but it was built during an earlier era i.e. all the blocks are obsolete, some of the weapons are too, and all the thrusters need replacing for a start. Going to need a complete refit to make it spaceworthy again. I may streamline the design while I'm at it and give it a new paint job. Currently looking for the proper replaceblocks commands to make my job easier. The ship in question:
Thanks but those won't work. These are pre-alpha blocks. I'm still trying to track down the names for them but from what I'm reading replaceblocks might not even work properly with all of them even if I do find the proper IDs. I was looking through the ship and the model used for the constructors looks nothing like what we have now. The interior is a jumbled mess and it has five warp tanks but no warp core.
