Build: v 1.11.7 4480 Mode: Single Player SERVER NAME: SEED-ID: If applicable: MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: Reproducibility: When changing the difficulty settings for a single player scenario like 'Reforged Eden' it jumps back to 'Invader vs Defender' and sets your settings back to default when you click OK. Severity: Annoying Type: Single Player Custom settings is broken. Summary: Please fix this for good. Description: Steps to Reproduce: 1) Choose to play a single player scenario game. 2) Customize the difficulty then click OK.
I can confirm. After changing difficulty level, the chosen custom scenario changes back to Invaders vs Defenders. Disabling or hiding those has no effect, even commenting out their starter playfields in the scenario's Sectors file only pushes the problem to another stock scenario (Default Akua-Omicron) that replaces the custom scenario ( and the Invaders vs Defenders). The custom Scenario's starter playfields are there among the other scenario's playfields, but at the end of the list. Only solution I found was to set my scenario seed at zero ( 0 ) after changing difficulty level, which sets the correct custom scenario's starter playfields.
Just tried this and I have no issue with RE and changing Difficulty Settings, it stays on Starting Planet Haven with seed 243558 Unless someone writes the exact steps down, what options you are clicking, what other buttons you are exactly clicking we cant do much
Steps to reproduce: In a non-DLC game, go to start new game > scenarios. Select Reforged Eden 2 beta from the list. Change something in the difficulty options. The starter planet will change to Atlon. Here's a video:
Oh i have the DLC, but its not installed. It was for a time - i deinstalled it because i wanted the much nicer blue backround back.
Not installed is the same as not owning, was vitial information for this bug to be reproduced It does not happen when you have the DLC installed To prevent this in the future, ive added a new question "DLC Installed: Yes/No" to the bug report template
Similar thing also happens in a custom creative scenario : changing the starter playfield does not change the playfield data (temperature, gravity, etc) and does not show the corresponding preview.jpg and preview_empty.jpg images (when choosing empty playfield).
