It's been a very long time coming - five years - but version 1.7.1.3638 finally makes third person playable without motion sickness. PLEASE, more refinements and bug fixes of existing features.

I can level one small criticism at it: harvesting plants with small interaction hitboxes is noticeably more difficult in third person, as an unnaturally sharp dip of the crosshair is required to target them. This is a result of the higher camera perspective. I would suggest compensating for this by making the interaction distance or radius greater for such plants, perhaps just while in third person. Another option is to increase the height of the hitboxes somewhat, but the former would be more natural and preferable.

The new egg model introduced in 1.7.0 is not an improvement over the original model. Well... the model itself is fine, but what is missing is an observable transition when harvested. The new model uses a transition that is virtually undetectable. The original used a light-to-dark transition that was much more apparent.

The terrestrial NPC pathfinding in 1.7.0 was supposed to be much improved; instead it was broken. NPCs became "hesitant": taking a few steps in one heading, pausing for a pregnant period while they pivoted ever so slightly, only to rinse and repeat. It was laughably easy to avoid and outmaneuver golems and assassins. This has not improved at all with 1.7.1. Why announce a new improved feature, give it weeks of public exposure, and then Release it still broken, made worse than the prior versions?

The NPC audio FX that were broken in 1.7.0 do seem to have been corrected; the 1.7.1 patch notes are accurate where the 1.7.0 patch notes were fibbing.
