I set betas to experimental in Steam, DLd and started the client. It asked for permission for user account control, which is a minor nuisance it doesnt normally do. Went to saves folder and cleared it, started Ashon. The first thing it did was launch an internal error. btw The email & quit button for the error did not engage with my default email which is Thunderbird and I dont let microsoft mess with it because they are so pushy of their own clients and not shy of backhanders so cannot be trusted, so it is not registered in the OS FYI so that didn't work either. Verified it and it found 15 files needed fixing. Started again and had UAC request again but ... it did not require UAC on restart a third time suggesting the executable was replaced after verification. In conclusion the Steam DL was borked, which I mention in case it is a common experience.
