this may sound like a minor issue but the lack of switches around you when you fly a ship takes away a sense of flying a ship. i mean what Han Solo and Chewie do when ass is on fire? they look around and flip switches. that's because there are switches around you in a car, in a plane, even in a boat when you drive it. we're used to switches when we control something, it gives a sense of control. there are switches in the game and you can place them near you. but to flip it you need to press the same button that exits the seat. BUT to look at a switch you need to change mouse mode from control to look around. so here's my suggestion: make it impossible to leave the seat in look around mode and use the E key to interact with surroundings instead. it can be optional and even disabled by default in the menu to not cause panic when people will not be able to leave a seat as they got used to. add a message about this new option when you look at an interactable item with this option disabled. maybe even add a couple of customizable switches on every command seat itself to promote the feature. maybe interact with the seat again to exit it instead of showing "already occupied" message. in short: add an optional feature to use E for interaction when seated and mouse is controlling the view.
