To introduce our new "CREATORS" forum area, i'd like to set up a first challenge, that will - as a side effect - also add more insights on the usage and usecases of CPU Tiers and Points in your bases and vessels. So the challenge reads: WHAT can you build with each Tier? Submissions rules: 1. Build a vessel or a base and MAX OUT the CPU Points you have for each tier (stay at least above 97% Efficiency) 2. Lable your vessel or base with a usecase-tag that should demonstrate its PRIMARY use. (feel free to use one from below or use your own! Required for submission 1. Screenshot of your build 2. A: Yes. As soon as the version goes public, I might restart the thread or simply change the title. Said that, there is no defined END of the challenge Q: I have not maxed out T4 - can I submit never the less? A: Sure! We consider T1, 2 and 3 to most interesting for the „what you can do“. Q: Is there a prize for the contest winner? A: No, but exposure of your skills And: it is a challenge, not a contest. So no voting on entries. Q: What happens when the change of CPU cost of devices pushes the Tier level up or down? A: It is not very likely big changes will happen. If, for example turrets, get a buff in terms of CPU cost, the time you had sent in your submission does matter. Q: Can i submit several builds or „update“ them? A: Sure, for example if real big changes of CPU happen. Just post a new entry and point to the old one to be deleted. We suggest to not submit more than 5 or 6 (no submission spam plz!) Q: Are updated/reworked older builds are allowed for submission? A: Yes. You do not NEED to have new builds done. Reworks and Refits are allowed as well, of course! Q: Am i allowed to submit a build that i did not create? A: No, please only submit what you created. What means: not just submit a link to a workshop item of someone else. IF you did a refit on a build of another creator, this is ok as long as you make a note!

HV Survival 4 T2, Small Support Vessel, Harvest Collector. Short explanation: The HV was build in Survival on a Dead Planet- @ravien_ff "Project Eden", without any resources but junkyards. Therefore it consists mainly of metal. For that purpose it has a rather larger CC Volume of over 5k AND a Wood CC 1,75k. In addition, out of self sustaining it carries a HV Constructor too. HV Starter Bike, T1, LVL1 I use this instead of the motorcycle, it uses carbon blocks and it's only extras are a spotlight and cargo box.
I love the micro HV's. I have been studying up on them (workshop research) and there are some really cool ships out there. I wish it was its own tier with smaller engines, blocks, and thrusters so we could make some cool (or cute) personal craft.

Armored dropship She is based on Pilgrim by MrIceCat and can be found as Prefab Tier 4. Heavily modified to be able to warp and protect from enemies. CPU T3 no RCSs. As he said she is an "explorer vessel which could replace CV". I installed warp drive and shield. Also modified the capacities of fuel and o2. Plenty of room for passenger seats and/or cargo boxes. Designed with mass/volume set to off.
Basic first 'real' HV. Just over T1 CPU. 5,161 of 5,000 for 98.9% efficiency. Two turrets so it can defend itself from critters, the odd drone or a squad of troopers. Not something I'd use against a turret defended POI. Nor do I consider it a 'good' ship. Trekking off near the beginning of game to see what's out there would feel foolish in this since it does not have a Constructor. Also, to be 'useful', imo, anything past a very early game hover bike needs to be able to haul at least a couple stacks of Ore. This can hold 2 1/2 Ore stacks, 5000 SU, or 4ea small CV thrusters, 64 tons. Second Stats page shows it loaded w 64t. That drops forward speed to 23.6 m/s, and reverse to 13.5 m/s. Mentioning this as I would be fine w just 5 m/s^2 acceleration when loaded, but I'm not fine with that meaning a top speed of only 13.5 m/s. So I had to add more forward thrusters. (Btw, 9 m/s^2 equates to a 0-100 km/h time of 3.1 seconds. Or a 9.46 sec 1/4 mile at 190 mph ; 306 km/h) The following pics are a tear-down, top to bottom. Uppermost layer was the two turrets and a bit of steel, not shown. After I took the pics I noticed I had 3 steel blocks in a spot I didn't need them, so swapped out for 3 cargo extensions, bringing the total SU up to 5000. CPU went up to 5,203.
The Zoolander is a T3 level 17 heavy fighter SV that specializes in turning left. It also has a hull shield & a face that can stop a bullet. Your mini CV is smaller than mine. I left the drill lasers off to keep the LVL requirement down, I figured the player would install them when they had the resources. Once the RCS has been removed this is a CPU T1, LVL 10 micro CV. CS Escort 1 Normally I will spawn it, then build on behind it as the game progresses. This is the final version, which is a CPU T2, LVL 25 when the RCS has been removed. I consider it a scout/miner. Osanshouo V2 I am including the blueprint files and I will be updating both of these in the workshop once Alpha 11 goes public.
CV-Augustus T3(T4), Heavy Support Vessel/Cruiser, Mobile Base. Built started way back in A9.X, always in SP, bit by Bit. Not completed yet, at least not in terms of interior. EDIT: REMOVED because of last Patch
