I do not normally participate in intro threads since many forums I have seen them on can be rather toxic in responses, however due to the maturity level I have seen on these forums (That's a compliment guys!) I will break my normal habit and introduce myself. I go by the S/N Ambedrake in most of my online ventures (though I have had my share of prank profiles made of me on some sites as jokes by others). Irony has it that most people who know me RL also call me by my shortened S/N of Ambe both online and RL. I am a Software Developer that is currently working on contract basis (went back to school to finish by BS in CS with a minor in Forensic Psy), this is mainly due to requiring the ability to set my own schedule to finish out my degree which should be done as of this year. I specialize in server development and API's for the most part, and I suck with UI's so probably not the best developer to ever ask to make an easily used client sided tool lol. I have been a part of and administrator in the NightSong Entertainment Gaming Community for going on 7 years now, where I manage, modify, alter, and in extreme cases reprogram servers of all kinds. I also take on other CS students from various universities to work on projects so that they can get some experience under their belts, as well as expand their portfolios before graduating. We also have a large number of CS alumni from various universities in our community that like to help and tutor said students as well free of charge. The communities slogan is "Break the meta" which was coined due to the abilities of the originating members to break game mechanics to an extreme degree and work with the developers of some of those games to show exploits, bugs, and balancing issues that needed addressed, as well as some programming tricks and algorithms that they may not be aware of and can take full advantage of in their games. This has also gotten us some decent contacts in both the development communities as well as modding communities (we have been known to repair bugs in mods and submit pull requests of the fixes to devs before just because they are already taxed for time). Other than that I am a father of 3 in my late 20's, love survival and voxel games to a great degree, as well as strategy games as well. If you want to play something with me (granted if I have time, usually happens during breaks between terms though this is my final year in uni) I am almost always up for MP of pretty much any game I may have a copy of (check Steam its a rather large set to chose from). S/N on steam ofc is Ambedrake and will stay that way for the foreseeable future. Cheers, Ambe
