    yeah i have same problem, was hoping to find a solution, anyone know how to disable EAC? i just want to play single player 1.5

    The experimental branch isn't updated yet.
    Either wait until it is, or opt out of it for now.

    Workaround i stumbled over...
    Ask Steam to show the Game Files.
    Navigate to: Client Subfololder.
    Double Click Empyrion.exe
    Change your settings (in this case diable eac)
    Quit and restart through steam the usual way.

    Second method: opt out of Exp branch.
    1.5 is not out yet and EAC simply expects an executable which is unmodified.
    Exp. EAC is alreaday expecting 1.5 in Exp but 1.5. is not yet released.

    Wait a bit more ;)
