I lost my main base to Zirax today, and now I would like to take it back, but I can’t find the core. Is there a way to take it back without destroying half the base?
Is your Base now marked in Red(Zrx) or still white? If White no core, if Red -> If they destroyed Blocks to enter your Base - follow the Path. If not look at the outside if the Core is attached there somewhere. They can only place it if they had Troopers there. But if the destroyed your Core than maybe there is theirs too.
They have destryed my core, but I can't find theirs. I have already destroyed half my base, but my problem is that all of my miners are now locked
Did you try to place a new Core? Does the Game tell you that only one core can be placed? Is this a Single Player Game? If yes open the Console type in gm - means God Mode - which allows you to pass through Terrain and Blocks (gets deactivated by hitting g once). If this is MP - contact the Server admin. If all fails - brace yourself to start new - or just somewhere else
Instead of just god mode use god mode invisible (gm iv). Then you can actually open the control panel and activate show on hud for the core. Makes finding it much easier.
It is a MP game, so I cannot use GM. My problem is that I cannot contact my admin, I don't have his coordinnates. So I'll keep on looking for the core. I would like to get back my stuff out of the old base.
Could it be the core of Zirax is camouflaged? I destroyed an enforced concrete block and the base was free again. I'll first of all start rebuilding my defences before putting a new core. Zirax has a kind of weapon that emmits radiation, does that mean they don't have to find my core before taking it over?
IIRC, the zyrax succeeded once to invade my base, their core (in red) was exactly where my core (in green) was placed before, it was a workshop base though. I destroyed it and put a new core in place, job done. After which I had to do various repairs, such a invasion doesn't come without destructions. All this isn't useful for you probably because it was in SP.
The main reason I wanted to get back my base, was because I had build a landing platform of 50x45 blocks, to spawn my CV's. I am now building a new base underneath the platform, with a lot more defences.
So, as I wanted to wait to place my core until my defences were strong enough, I waited just too long. My coreless base has disappeared :-( I have to start all over again.
I also realized coreless bases despawn when I removed a core from a base to leave it behind for other players and it turned into a hole in the ground. I had no idea that would happen and there are plenty of structures in the game with no core
