Hello, I'm trying to find out how to change the PvE starter worlds to PvP. I've googled it up and tried to follow the advice given by the Steam general discussion. It didn't work. The discussion was in 2019. One of the advice how to set all playfields to PvP is to set ForcePvP in gameoptions.yaml to True. I've looked into it and ForcePvP was set to true; yet the starter world is still PvE. I need it to be PvP. Another suggestion is to change the PvP in Template folder to true. However, I've tried to use Notepad's word search for PvP and the playfield.yaml files did not have the word PvP in them at all. I need to set them to PvP and not PvE. Any help would be really appreciated. EDIT: I've checked the console gopt and it said that the ForcePVP is set to False. I've input gopt set ForcePVP True and it did nothing to change the outcome. The ForcePVP was set to True, but when I tried shooting a friend, he received zero damage. I also noticed that the PVP icon didn't turn on either. It looks like any changes I try to apply to it are being overridden by something else. Using the console commands didn't change it. The yaml files is saying that ForcePVP is set to true but I'm not seeing that in game. What am I missing?
If you force pvp true, I believe the starter planet will still show as pve possibly but it will actually be pvp. Also make sure you are changing the correct game options file and changing it correctly (removing any '#' character from the pvp option line, setting it in the save game folder if an existing save, etc)
Hmm. In game option yaml, ForcePvP is set to true. I checked the playfield yaml files for the starter planets and they didn't have the PvP option line in them. I think I may have it solved, it seems that I have to add in the option line manually for it to have PvP, but I'm not fully sure if it is working. I have to test it to see if it is working.
