Hi ! Again best wishers for 2021. Still about the new faction system/bug that made KNOW (and honored) factions unvisibles (in the faction/reputation window UI) in solo survival game in progress + most stay unvisible, even when you meet a new POI of that faction (and you saw the text : "you discovered a new faction") Can someone tell : if i do a restore on my computer on a date before the last Empyrion "update", would I go back to previous version of faction system? Or maybe there is a solution or a console command to make faction name and reputation visible again? (specially those you had already met + did "discover"/meet again via a new POI) Thanks a lot in advance. (full story here v1.3.X Patches)
Salutations Taelyn, Thanks a lot for your answer (and for your work on this amazing game), for information/feed back: it worked fine for "common" faction : Talon, Zirax, PoL > back on UI/faction reputation window and rep still at previous level (all honored exept zirax) but it didn't work totally for : Pirates, Kriel and Trader > they were back on UI but rep was lost, back to neutral (used some rep fix via console) and didn't work at all for the Civilian nor the Void faction, tried true consol, when standing out of range of one of it's Space Station then re-tried once in range and after having recieved the message "you discovered a new faction : Void" still nothing, even when using the consol command questions : -am I forgeting some "classical NPC faction" here : Talon, Zirax, PoL, Pirates, Kriel, Civilian and Trader ? -is there a list of all the NPC factions one can meet? (did some search but couldn't find something reliable and up to date). Again and in advance, thanks a lot!
Does this happen in a FRESH game with the current version? If so, plz consider reporting this as a bug in the bug section
Salutation Hummel-o-War, Thanks for answering, forgot to mention (but had put a link to previous post about in first message here above) that this is happening in a game that was in progress before last update (and fixes). As we are not in beta anymore, it would be so nice that updates do not break games in progress. And when a new version need a restart, it would also be very nice to find a way to warn players before to launch it, ingame and/or before one accept the update. As most players don't even read forum(s). (edit: as old'skool gamer I still wonder, once beta ended, why new updates or version would break games in progress? Using DAW or grafik editor, they never broke old work nor work in progress, many mmorts games I played were working same as it was persistant, would be great to be able to keep playing games in progress and fully enjoy the updates/new vesrion.) Taking ocasion to write again that the "new" system to communicate updates isn't reader/gamer friendly. First one have to read steam or Eleon's forum (when most players don't) second one have to understand that there are new updates hidded in the old one. One new message for each new updates just like everybody elese do and like Eleon was doing same in past, no? Thank you for reading, Regards.
