There are many vehicles and ships that have been created but are excluded due to Reforged Eden requirements. Likewise, sometimes a ship/vehicle is ALMOST perfect for a player who relies on accessories that complement his playing style BUT there just isn't room to add a mobile constructor or armor locker to an existing ship design. Some existing vehicles/ships have very detailed designs and are complicated to modify. Could a new feature (or two) during Creation editing make it easy to, say, lengthen a jet shaped SV to be one block longer in length or one block wider, i.e. insert somewhere along its length or width so it can perform the following: LENGTHEN/WIDEN for Insert: Lengthen (Insert Block(s)) into an existing Structure. Allows editor to create a line which can be placed to cut a design into two pieces while inserting a block to keep the object as a single object. This allows For example, an SV which has a tapered nose, wings and tail like a jet which can have new blocks added behind the cockpit to extend the craft and/or perhaps added between the wings and tail section as well to house more cargo or generator. Likewise, if the ship is split down the center line it can be made one block wider down its entire length This would allow editing of vehicles/ships to have an area where CPU and other devices required by Reforged Eden or preferred additions by a player to be placed. It may also allow a means to balance the weight of a vehicle. Likewise, if new devices are created for Empyrion such as the different shield generators. There should also be the reverse ability to shorten/narrow, but it seems more like a delayed UNDO . One caveat - the length of the insert line should only impact CONTIGUOUS blocks, say, in the case of a jet with a nose like a hammerhead shark where widening the hammerhead would not widen the wing behind it. This could be achieved by allowing lengthen/widen only where the mouse clicked on those contiguous blocks where the line intersected.
