Is there a way (yet) to figure out what is blocking my repair? Very frustrating. Also when it was working I kept getting a message that there was no repair template, but I did save the template and also uploaded ti to the Steam Work Shop. What might be wrong. I just re-saved and I get "no backup Available" what is wrong?
A repair template is made automatically now since 1.4 I think, as soon as you spawn a vehicle. But the template will not include any changes you made afterwards, so you need to save manually again after making changes in the construction or device setup. What is blocking your repair? Here are the things to check: - Make sure that no more than 1 ship is inside your CV , the 1 ship is that one for repair and exactly over the repair bay. - In the repair console, first go in standby, then in repair blocks; you need the listed ressources. This will repair everything except missing blocks. - Then, chose the 3rd option which will also add missing blocks as for your repair template. A much faster way than the repair bay is to move to a friendly POI which has 'Services' to repair and replenish fuel and ammo. The repair is immediate but costs something.
For me it was a retractable ramp block that went further down than the landing gear (ramp was 3 blocks down, but lg only 1 block) that made a lot of trouble; i had to float the ship and then it could be repaired. sometimes the ship is not level, causing some corner block getting too close to the ground. The message in the repair console seems random on a error, the popup is mostly right (for me the console also said no template, but the popup said something in the way/no space)
