I built a HUBB (SV) and took it to the moon.

It went great except for when trying to leave the moon and return. All is OK on the moon surface with a lovely temperature of 22C or so. Trying to return to the home planet results in a rapid drop in temperature and eventual death. The door is closed and the top "drone hatch" is closed. I can't figure out for the life of me what I've done wrong. Any tips on figuring this out would be greatly appreciated.

    • I'm in light armor with no EVA but that didn't seem to be an issue on the way to the moon.
    • The ship is fuelled and has oxygen and maneuvers fine
    • I've added a passenger seat and armor locker but otherwise it's vanilla to the download
    Thanks!

If you go in the N menu inside your SV, if you click on oxygen will it show bubbles or not? If not your ship is not correctly sealed, you need to find the leakage, in that case your armor suit was not equiped with a EVA booster that's why you died, not because of oxygen.
This, plus oxygen must be activated in the P menu of your ship.

Oh and I forgot: every sealed compartment will need 1 functionning VENTILATOR. It starts rotating once you activate oxygen in the P menu, if it doesn't then still your compartment isn't sealed or your O2 tanks are empty.

  5. Just to clarify one point, you do NOT need oxygen or a ventilator in order to seal and temperature control an area.
It just needs to be fully sealed and powered, that's it.

The ventilator just provides oxygen so you don't use your suits oxygen. It has nothing to do with the temperature.

So if your temperature isn't stable it's because you aren't sealed, or power is off.
Barring any new bugs of course.
Also keep in mind if you shut the power off it can take quite some time to warm back up (or cool down) once you switch it back on.

Thanks guys, i had to check the ship carefully and it wasn't sealed, though I have no idea how I lost parts! Picked up many tips from this, much appreciated. Ship is now back safe. I could have built another and left it there, but learned a lot more from working these suggestions through!
