Freighter - the oblivion vessel.

    Hi everyone !

    To motivate devs to make the necessary changes to make it viable freighter vessels, i propose that everybody post here their freighter spacecraft designs (SV or CV)

    Show what it's possible to create, and what it currently missing :

    Missing on SV :
    - Doors
    - Turrets
    - Mobile loading ramp
    - Deco (tables, chairs, toilets, showers, antennas, ...)
    - Mooring a ground vessel in the hold
    - ...

    Missing on CV :
    - Smallest blocks
    - landing on planets
    - ...

    We need freighter vessel ( FV ) !

    Definitely this! I'm missing especially doors. Right now my shuttle designs are always open in the rear.

    The Falcon is awesome by the way!

    I think CV should not be able to enter, too big to not break in half under the stress of leaving or entering atmosphere.

    I think they shouldn't make entering atmosphere depending on class but rather on the mass. At a certain mass you simple can not enter because it would destroy the ship.
    Or if they want to make it even more refined; at a certain mass you would take heavy damage probably destroying the ship but at least getting destroyed some random blocks (the heavier the ship the more gets destroyed).

    I think the big differentiation between sv and cv should be the possibility to have a hyperdrive (when implemented) and a better energy source / reactor.

    not only this twice! :) i think not that CV classes get planetary access. it was on the closed alpha tested and it was coming to problems
    with the mass and the ,,effects,, so the terrain loading too. i think it is rly ok when CV classes only functionally into space.
    for ,,space life,, directly i think nebula areas or systems will be great, where players can harvesting oxygen (or asteroids :D) and other minerals
    for the future. so we do not must living on planets primary.

    but let´s wait for the next updates guys - time is not rare, it is anywhere :D and many features (so i think) are planned but the

    I haven't really ventured into building large ships, could you, in theory already build a SV extremely large? So it would be similar to a CV. I mean, you have corvette classes and cruiser classes which have docks for small craft, but just aren't as big as CVs.

    the mass will be limited i think. so are it not possible to build SV´s with a lengh and high of a CV. it where contra productive against
    the eventually planned custom weapon generator or ,,maker,,. at first are coming more planets and systems. a warp drive will be included
    too because the large ways from planet to planet. :)

    -so i think its the next step

    It's not the question, FV isn't CV, FV can go into CV !

    Therefore, improve SV, or create FV (a category between SV and CV)

    GV is also concerned, like a camping-car ( doors, tables, ...).

    Do not hesitate to post your creations freighter, to show that it's need.

    you mean a flying fortress? uuuuuuhhh i think not it will be implemented because the idea is not bad. for gas planets it will be a good opinion,
    when the ground is full of lava or toxic and you cannot build a ground base on it. but i think it will comes eventually (so i think rly not it will be implemented :eek: ) when upcoming gas planets areas, where we not can build some bases.
