It's fun to invade some huge space OPV ships without gravity sometimes, but it adds-up to a major difficulty to navigate the player while still aiming at enemies efficiently, for that I'd rather like to have gravity. The thing is: To get inside these shielded vessels you must have already killed all generators; the reason is if you don't do it the enemy shields will go up again making any invasion impossible (nothing can be destroyed if shields are active, the ship cannot be cored.) And without generators: No gravity (assumed of course such a device is on the ship and not destroyed). It would be fine if gravity generators had their own energy source for a certain time, thus generating gravity even if all other power sources are down, that would add to more playability. There are other problems too when invading such ships which are: they are insanely overpowered over CPU limits most of the time so that you cannot even run them by adding generators again and thus activating gravity, you must first core the vessel, shut down power, remove all devices that consume CPU too much, then you can switch on power again...that's a lot to do just to get gravity Therefore a gravity generator with its own power for say 20 minutes would be very nice.
I'm always very close, also because of the wireless connection to be active, but I've never seen that I got any gravity because of that. But thanks, I will try out what you say, maybe by placing in the right axis just above the ship will do it.
