Hello, hope i'm in the right thread. i have some problems with my dedicated server. works nice but it takes no commands from me I have changed the dedicated.yaml but it doesnt work see on screens changed pw and max players but does not work for me thanks for your help
Not sure what the issue is just looking at it but here is a way to track it down. Change the game save name to Test for this. Then only change one line at a time, after each line edit start the test server see if it runs. One one of these lines theres a not so obvious error, doing it that way will at least expose the faulty line of code commands. Fiddly work around for finding the error but it does work.
Ok, thanks. solved the problem. The lines with the "#" where disabled so i removed the "#" and it worked
Very good. @ vinurd , if you go into the Empyrion Galactic Survival folder there is a file in there that is marked as a YAML. file, if you open this with 'notepad' you can edit the values. There is a proper dedicated server set up guide on this forum somewhere do a quick search it should come up. The Empyrion Galactic Survival folder can be found here if you install games to C drive, steams default setting basically, C / programfiles86 / steam / steamapps / common / Empyrion Galactic Survival. The dedicated server exe. is also in this folder, there are two, you would probably be better starting the version with graphic blue display screen. Dedi with graphics.
