Hi guys, I am looking for feedback and opinions on this topic. I know there are a lot of blueprints in the Steam Workshop for HVs, SVs, CVs and Bases (both ground and Space) but the sheer number of blueprints and roles makes it somewhat impratical for a single person to review all and choose a blueprint for use in singleplayer or soloplay. Without starting a forum battle on what is better for this or that I want opinions for blueprints to use for singleplayers (offline) and soloplayers (online) on the following categories/roles. Keep in mind that the suggestions must address the fact that the player will not (or be able) use console commands to spawn resources for his/her needs. Vanilla HV (Earlier Exploration/Mining) HV (Earlier POI Combat/Scavenging) SV (Earlier Exploration/Combat) CV (Earlier Survival Multipurpose Role) Base/Space Station (Earlier Survival) HV (Mid-Late game Exploration/Mining) HV (Mid-Late game POI Combat/Scavenging) SV (Mid-Late game Exploration/Combat) CV (Mid-Late game Mining) CV (Mid-Late game POI Combat) CV (Mid-Late game Multipurpose role) Base/Space Station (Mid-Late game Survival) Those are the categories. Feedback on other settings like Project Eden, Reforged Galaxy or even Reforged Eden are welcome. Thanks for any feedback in advance guys
I guess quite alot of us here tend to make own vessels and maybe even exclusively ONLY use our own vessels (for those of us with a severe case of not-invented-here syndrome ) The point being, what we may recommend will be either what we have made and published because those vessel were created for the needs of how we play, or they will be selected vessels that people have found that best suit how they play. If we were to give you a long list as you request, then I have no doubt that by the time you get half way through it, you will be getting to the stage of recognizing the short comings of generic designer designs because you are developing you own play style and your own unique needs. I could give you a list - the list is basically my workshop as that is all that I use. The same is no doubt true of many others here who publish the vessels they built based upon the needs they encountered in the game - ie played vessels rather than designer vessels. Also the vessel I use now as a long time player are not the same as I used when I had less of an idea of how I would play and TBH, the end result is the newer ones tend to be a a lot more purposeful because they exactly suit what I know I will need at a particular game stage considering likely available resources, my level, what I will want to do next etc. As for bases, space stations, I really only tend top make use of a base in the early to mid game and after that, really my 'base' is my main CV where I have the option to make temporary furnace and deconstructor platforms as needed because with the new much bigger galaxy, then after mid game and I leave to go explore, I may never come back again and there doesnt seem any point in putting down a proper base anywhere as the chances are it will never be convenient to be there again (unless you are using modded extreme long range jump drives and teleporters, in which case you are probably also running a mod that lets you stick furnaces and deconstructors on a CV too, so again, no use for a base).
