Hey all, I've been using Teleporters a lot this game. I'm having fun building little - and not so little - outposts, all linked via a teleporter network. This allows me to pop down an auto-miner (depletion Off) and build an outpost around it. I now have fairly decent bases built up around Promethium (Main, rather large base with landing for several CV's) Pentaxid and Erestrum (cos I was low on it). These bases are all shielded and have decent armament as well as basic construction facilities. Anything I gather locally, goes in the Fridge or Constructor storage for local use. I also went back to my first - since abandoned - base and added it to the teleporter network too, more for nostalgia than anything. I was quite material poor setting this one up and needed shelter (hot environment) so built it out of the local plentiful resource - wood. Rather fond of that base for some reason lol. Anyway. While I have a suit equipped with a pair of Transport Boosts (increased carry volume) I can still only shift relatively small amounts of resources. This got me to thinking... Wouldn't it be cool if we could build Storage linked to a Teleporter. That way, we could fill a container with stuff, link it to the Teleporter and select to teleport the contents to the (player-owned) destination Teleporter's linked storage. I do consider Balance of course, but considering the resources required to set up such a network are quite high, I think nothing more than needing a "special" (aka, more expensive and power-hungry) Storage box for this purpose would be fine, with say a 16k volume limit as per the larger standing Cargo box. What do people think? I don't think this replaces long-haul trucking, due to the relatively smaller volumes, but it does bridge the gap between that and personal inventory space. Plus it's a different way to play, I'm rather enjoying it vs. my more usual One large CV carrying everything approach - though I have one of those too as my main mobile base
