Is it possible to run Exp 10 in single player and Alpha 9 in multiplayer?

I'm interested in getting into Alpha 10 but obviously I don't want to disrupt my multiplayer game, is there a simple way of accomplishing this?

 

Make a copy of the folders for A9 in your steam folder then update the original to A10. You can launch either manually. I have a copy of all of them since Alpha 2. They work fine.
