is it possible and if so how can you link one deditcated server to another so you can have cross server play if you can
Yes you can have cross server warping abilities, but it is not part of the base game itself. It is part of Empyrion Admin Helper (EAH). EAH is created by the fine folks over at HWS servers and not by Eleon. You have to install EAH for each server and then configure both instances of EAH correctly to enable cross server warping. That is not something I will be walking you through how to do but there is in-depth documentation on it and also forums where you can ask questions and for help. Here is the documentation for how to setup EAH.
