As it appears impossible to search the blueprint workshop for specifics, I'm hoping someone can recommend one to me. I am looking for a compact, minimalist HV with two drills and a harvester. Something that is small, nimble, easy on fuel, and uses the basic materials. Other than the tools mentioned, just a generator, fuel tank, propulsion, sensor and minimal storage. Functionally, I can make my own easily enough if I ignore aesthetics, but I'm curious what else is out there because there's some really amazing stuff in the workshop. I found a couple promising ones, but I find they usually tend to be (1) overkill -- trying to everything an HV can do, (2) one purpose to the extreme -- like having 6 drills or 6 harvesters, (3) not shy about using the more exotic/advanced materials, or (4) have poor propulsion/balancing. Any recommendations would be appreciated! o7 Jay
I'm just a noob but I built this one for my own purposes, after having stated that early good-looking HV's were not for me. It's a little more than what you are asking for in terms of functionalities but really cheap. Mostly made of plastic so not designed to run in front of hostiles. It has a fridge because I build it prior to my first base. Use P to access everything inside. And it's reasonably good-looking. Very compact at least. 5 drills make the difference in mining a ramp. This one u-turns sharply and always gets back to surface. And 1 wood harvester is far enough imo. Bored of Elite Dangerous CMDR ? o7 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2170562046
Going to suggest my Dung Beetle, it was designed as a disposable efficient HV miner for PVP areas (spawn, use, leave). As thus it is cheap, easy to use and quick to build. Iron 126 Carbon Substrate 282 Copper 218 Silicon 162 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2153537623
