So a group of friends and I (about 13 rl friends) are playing on a blackbox server rental; our first world had like 6-8 planets, plus their moons and a few asteroid belts. All of the resources by and large are very small to medium at best. Maybe a few that are large.... and we have for the most part conquered the AI on most of the planets. We are looking to possibly restart a new save, but really would like to have a 50+ world, 70+ playzone experience. Is this only done through custom scenarios? Is there a seed that includes a random gen of at least 20+ worlds? Additionally, the server game options doesn't seem to function for most things; such as reduction of food spoilage and faster crafting; any tricks to get that to work if the .yaml doesn't seem to do the trick? Cheers folks
Hiya buddy, from my experience when editing difficulty settings and such after a game has already been created, those settings will not apply until the game has been completely reset, wiped or a certain file in the multiplayer server is wiped ( not sure what that file is if it even exists) There are no custom seeds that generate a specifically large amount of planets that I am aware of though it could do with being an option. You can find some large multiplanet universes to download on the steam scenario section of workshop, should not be too hard to upload those to your server and make a new game. Or you can learn about 2 mods available in the forum that let you design and create your own galaxy and amount of planets. EPD empyrion playfield designer can generate or edit exisisting playfields which you can then upload to your server. EPG empyrion playfield generator will allow you to custom design the galaxy itself and to add your new planets where you want them. Its a bit of a learning curve but if your really into this game it might be worth you trying those 2 tools. The steam scenario option would be much easier and im sure there is something there you could use. As a total noob I put a week or so into making a custom galaxy with those tools, I had 200+ playfields in the end and was totally worth it
