    Hi all,

My MP server has been on the 1.5 experimental version and I would like to move it to the public version is there a tutorial on how to do this? I watched a Spanj video on how to move stuff on a SP game and there are only 4 of us so I can do that if we have to do a fresh start but I would prefer not to. My host is Low.MS if that matters.

Mine worked right out of the box. No need to convert afaik. Just change the game from experiemental to none in the beta section and it should work.

  3. I would question which build number you started the save in the experimental branch.

Unless you started the save on the very last Exp version (Build 3376) then I would highly suggest starting a new save (or at least wiping visited playfields).
The old save will still work but it will have POI's and missions that are going to be broken and not work correctly most likely. In the end it is your choice how you want to proceed.

Your host provider should have a way for you to change to the stable branch.
They should have proper documentation already posted on their site on how to accomplish this.
If they don't have documentation on that, well, I would consider switching providers. Just saying.

  4. Also, just because 1.5 is on the stable branch now does NOT mean that there won't be updates and hotfixes in the upcoming days that will require new saves or playfield wipes to get the changes.
That is almost a guarantee to happen still.
So if you don't want to deal with all that then you might consider waiting a little longer to either wipe playfields or start a new save.

Or just ignore the issues and continue your current save. The choice is all yours.

Either way, opt out of experimental ASAP since updates are likely to go straight to stable at this point.
If you don't opt out you will actually be behind in game versions soon enough.

Thank you for the replies. My host has a script to switch between stable and experimental and I went ahead and switched. We started a month ago so I don't know what version we were on but I usually play EGS for a couple of months then play something else until the next big update. So we will probably keep going despite any broken quests. I have been playing since 2017 so wipes are not unknown to me I had just never switched from experimental before.
