Is the whole idea of Empyrion NOT to encourage players to progress in the game? I have a grand total of 6.6 hours and I'm getting bored with the quit & reload buttons.

The game tells us noobs to make a HV with a frame (yes, I know I can download a complete ship from the Workshop), but since I'm following the Robinson Protocol as a noob, I just do as it says.

But, and this is one thing I cannot understand, if you don't like the position of a block -- say, a cockpit -- is there no way to re-position it? Is this fixed placement of a ship of all blocks permanent? So, the only way to 'undo' it would be to quit and resume game (pre-built stage)? How is this a good idea for someone trying to learn a new game?

FWIW, I have a few thousand hours in Rimworld, NMS, and about 800 in Avorion. I have never ever seen a game with build-features making the building of ships/station so opaque. I cannot believe the devs are this silly.

Unlock a MultiTool in the Techtree, produce it in the Constructor equip it and chose in radial Menu the retreive function(not salvage).
Then you will be able to remove all kind of Blocks, the Cockpit too.

Oh...and an advice: Beware your language when talking about the Devs.

Thank you for the advice on higher level MT.

Btw, why this warning? -- "Oh...and an advice: Beware your language when talking about the Devs." Are they above criticism?

Just the Wording. You CAN critisize them but don't go too far. I say this as it happens frequently and Players let loose their Tongues.
As I talked to an US Citizen the other day its common in the US to do this. In Europe laws prohibit people from doing so.

It's good I'm not American then, lol? All jokes aside, some level of decorum is always nice. And I don't rant :)

On a serious note, the concept of basic introduction to any service or product -- digital or otherwise -- is so old that I'm always surprised when new SW/game developers believe it should be an afterthought. Learning information architecture is not difficult but I'm sure they have their own priorities if they believe user experience is irrelevant.

    Thanks again.

In the previous starting planets, this would have been GREAT advice. But depending on his starting planet, he may not even have promethium to make fuel for a multi-tool.

I think ALL starter Moons have Promethium Surface Rocks.

All 4 of the starter moons in the default scenario have promethium on them in one form or another..
They aren't always in the form of deposits. Some are crystals under water, or crystals at the bottom of ravines, etc, etc.

Just because you don't see promethium deposits on the map does in no way mean there is no promethium on the playfield.

In my opinion moving placed block should be free or easier (such as requiring survival tool, or requiring multi tool but does not need charge).

Its 'free and easier' if you work in Creative with Blocks but not in Survival where every decission you make has a consequence.
