I tried returning to the game recently and the performance running a local server is unplayably bad. I used to run the same setup on an older pc with no issues. My framerate is stuck around 40 on the starting planet with terrible lag and frequent disconnects (connecting via the loopback address) Ive tried increasing the server process priority. I have a Ryzen 9 5900x and a 3090 now, which blows my old pc out of the water and I never had issues this bad with empyrion before, but im not sure what else to do from here?
Hey, mellamoalej. Welcome aboard. Have you checked that you have no graphics profile in your Nvidia panel for the game? When I had issues with framerate I usually create or edit a profile there and let my graphics board override the FPS settings. I also had to tweak Empyrion's video options (inside the game) for it to run smoothly.
1. Does this low performance happen when you run local server or in single player too. 2. How does other games perform?
